Gen / Jen 38:1

And it came to pass at that time, that Judah went down from his brethren, and turned in to a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah.

And Judah saw there a daughter of a certain Canaanite, whose name was Shuah; and he took her, and went in unto her.

And she conceived again, and bare a son; and she called his name Onan.

De nouveau, elle conçut et enfanta un fils, qu' elle appela Onân.

And she yet again conceived, and bare a son; and called his name Shelah: and he was at Chezib, when she bare him.

Dia nanan' anaka indray koa izy ka niteraka zazalahy; ary ny anarany nataony hoe Sela; ary Joda nitoetra tany Keziba tamin' ny niterahan' ny vadiny an' i Sela.

Encore une fois, elle enfanta un fils, qu' elle appela Shéla; elle se trouvait à Kezib quand elle lui donna naissance.

And Judah took a wife for Er his firstborn, whose name was Tamar.

And Er, Judah' s firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the Lord; and the Lord slew him.

And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother' s wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother.

And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother' s wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.

Ary fantatr' i Onana fa tsy ho azy tsinona ny zaza; koa raha nandry tamin' ny vadin' ny rahalahiny izy, dia nandraraka tamin' ny tany mba tsy hiterahany zanaka ho an' ny rahalahiny.

Fantatr' i Onàna anefa fa tsy taranaka ho azy izany, ka nony nandeha tamin' ity vadin-drahalahiny izy, dia nandoto tena teo ivelany tamin' ny tany mba tsy hampahazo taranaka ny rahalahiny.

Cependant Onân savait que la postérité ne serait pas sienne et, chaque fois qu' il s' unissait à la femme de son frère, il laissait perdre à terre pour ne pas donner une postérité à son frère.

And the thing which he did displeased the Lord: wherefore he slew him also.

Tsy sitraky ny Tompo ny nataony, ka novoiny koa izy.

Ce qu' il faisait déplut à Yahvé, qui le fit mourir lui aussi.

Then said Judah to Tamar his daughter in law, Remain a widow at thy father' s house, till Shelah my son be grown: for he said, Lest peradventure he die also, as his brethren did. And Tamar went and dwelt in her father' s house.

Alors Juda dit à sa belle-fille Tamar : Retourne comme veuve chez ton père, en attendant que grandisse mon fils Shéla. Il se disait : Il ne faut pas que celui-là meure comme ses frères. Tamar s' en retourna donc chez son père.

Gen / Jen 38:12

And in process of time the daughter of Shuah Judah' s wife died; and Judah was comforted, and went up unto his sheepshearers to Timnath, he and his friend Hirah the Adullamite.

Ary rehefa ela, dia maty ny vadin' i Joda, dia ilay zanakavavin' i Soa; ary rehefa nionona ny alahelon' i Joda, dia niakatra tany amin' ny mpanety ondriny tany Timna izy sy Hira Adolamita sakaizany.

Nony ela dia maty ilay zanakavavin' i Soe, vadin' i Jodà. Ary rahefa afa-tsaona Jodà, dia niakatra tany amin' ireo nanety ny ondriny, any Tamnà, izy sy Hirà, Odolamita, sakaizany.

Bien des jours passèrent et la fille de Shua, la femme de Juda, mourut. Lorsque Juda fut consolé, il monta à Timna pour la tonte de ses brebis, lui et Hira, son ami d' Adullam.

Gen / Jen 38:13

And it was told Tamar, saying, Behold thy father in law goeth up to Timnath to shear his sheep.

Dia nisy nanambara tamin' i Tamara hoe Indro, ny rafozanao miakatra ho any Timna hanety ny ondriny.

Ary nisy nilaza izany tamin' i Tamara nanao hoe: Indro, ny rafozanao miakatra any Tamnà hanety ny ondriny.

On avertit Tamar : Voici, lui dit-on, que ton beau-père monte à Timna pour tondre ses brebis.

Gen / Jen 38:14

And she put her widow' s garments off from her, and covered her with a vail, and wrapped herself, and sat in an open place, which is by the way to Timnath; for she saw that Shelah was grown, and she was not given unto him to wife.

Alors, elle quitta ses vêtements de veuve, elle se couvrit d' un voile, s' enveloppa et s' assit à l' entrée d'Énayim, qui est sur le chemin de Timna. Elle voyait bien que Shéla était devenu grand et qu' elle ne lui avait pas été donnée pour femme.

When Judah saw her, he thought her to be an harlot; because she had covered her face.

Ary hitan' i Joda izy ka nataony fa vehivavy janga, satria efa nanarona ny tavany izy.

Nony nahita azy Jodà, dia nataony ho vehivavy janga izy, fa nisaron-doha;

Juda l' aperçut et la prit pour une prostituée, car elle s'était voilé le visage.

Gen / Jen 38:16

And he turned unto her by the way, and said, Go to, I pray thee, let me come in unto thee; (for he knew not that she was his daughter in law.) And she said, What wilt thou give me, that thou mayest come in unto me?

Dia nivily nanatona azy teo amoron-dalana Joda ka nanao hoe: Aoka mba handry aminao aho (fa tsy fantany ho vinantony izy); dia hoy kosa ravehivavy: Inona ary no homenao ahy, raha handry amiko ianao?

Il se dirigea vers elle sur le chemin et dit : Laisse, que j' aille avec toi ! Il ne savait pas que c'était sa belle-fille. Mais elle demanda : Que me donneras-tu pour aller avec moi ?

Gen / Jen 38:17

And he said, I will send thee a kid from the flock. And she said, Wilt thou give me a pledge, till thou send it?

Dia hoy izy: Hampanatitra zanak' osy avy amin' ny ondry aman' osy aho. Fa hoy kosa ravehivavy: Hanome fampitanana va ianao mandra-pampanatitrao azy?

Ka hoy ny navaliny: Hampanatitra zanak' osy avy any amin' ny biby fiompy ho anao aho. Fa hoy ravehivavy: Eny, raha omenao antoka aho aloha, mandra-pampanatitrao an' izany.

Il répondit : Je t' enverrai un chevreau du troupeau. Mais elle reprit : Oui, si tu me donnes un gage en attendant que tu l' envoies !

Gen / Jen 38:18

And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy bracelets, and thy staff that is in thine hand. And he gave it her, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him.

Ary hoy izy: Inona no fampitanana homeko anao? Ary hoy ravehivavy: Ny fanombohan-kasenao sy ny kofehinao ary iny tehinao eny an-tananao iny. Ary nomeny azy ireny, dia nandry taminy izy, ka nanan' anaka taminy ravehivavy.

Ary hoy izy: Inona no antoka homeko anao? Dia hoy izy: Ny peratrao sy ny kofehinao ary iny tehina an-tànanao iny. Nomeny azy izany, dia nandeha taminy izy, ka nanana anaka taminy ravehivavy.

Il demanda : Quel gage te donnerai-je ? et elle répondit : Ton sceau et ton cordon et la canne que tu as à la main. Il les lui donna et alla avec elle, qui devint enceinte de lui.

Gen / Jen 38:19

And she arose, and went away, and laid by her vail from her, and put on the garments of her widowhood.

Ary niainga ravehivavy ka lasa nandeha, dia nanala ny fisalobonana izay notafiny ka niakanjo ny akanjony fanaon' ny mpitondratena indray.

Vao niainga teo ravehivavy dia lasa, nesoriny ny voaliny, ary niankanjoany indray ny akanjony fitondran' ny mpitondratena.

Elle se leva, partit, enleva son voile et reprit ses vêtements de veuve.

Gen / Jen 38:20

And Judah sent the kid by the hand of his friend the Adullamite, to receive his pledge from the woman' s hand: but he found her not.

Dia nampitondrain' i Joda ilay Adolamita sakaizany ny zanak' osy, hangalany ilay fampitanana amin-dravehivavy; kanjo tsy hitany izy.

Nampanaterin' i Jodà an' ilay Odolamita, sakaizany, ny zanak' osy, hangalany ny antoka tany an-tanan-dravehivavy, kanjo tsy hitany izy.

Juda envoya le chevreau par l' intermédiaire de son ami d' Adullam, pour reprendre les gages des mains de la femme, mais celui-ci ne la retrouva pas.

Gen / Jen 38:21

Then he asked the men of that place, saying, Where is the harlot, that was openly by the way side? And they said, There was no harlot in this place.

Dia nanontany ny olona teo amin' ny fonenan-dravehivavy izy ka nanao hoe: Aiza moa ilay vehivavy janga izay tamoron-dalana teo Enaima ? Fa hoy ny olona: Tsy nisy vehivavy janga teo.

Nanontany ny olona tompon-tany teo izy nanao hoe: Aiza ilay vehivavy janga nitoetra teo amoron-dàlana tao Enaïma? Fa hoy ny navalin' ny olona: Tsy nisy vehivavy janga teto.

Il demanda aux gens du lieu : Où est cette prostituée qui était à Énayim, sur le chemin ? Mais ils répondirent : Il n' y a jamais eu là de prostituée !

Gen / Jen 38:22

And he returned to Judah, and said, I cannot find her; and also the men of the place said, that there was no harlot in this place.

Dia niverina tany amin' i Joda izy ka nanao hoe: Tsy nahita azy aho; ary nolazain' ny olona tompon-tany fa tsy nisy vehivavy janga teo.

Dia niverina tany amin' i Jodà izy, nilaza hoe: Tsy nahita azy aho; ary lazain' ny olona tompon-tany aza fa hoe, tsy nisy vehivavy janga teo.

Il revint donc auprès de Juda et dit : Je ne l' ai pas retrouvée. Et même, les gens du lieu m' ont dit qu' il n' y avait jamais eu là de prostituée.

Gen / Jen 38:23

And Judah said, Let her take it to her, lest we be shamed: behold, I sent this kid, and thou hast not found her.

Dia hoy Joda: Aoka ho lasany ho azy, fandrao ho afa-baraka isika; indro, efa nampanateriko ity zanak' osy ity, nefa ianao tsy nahita an-dravehivavy.

Ka hoy Jodà: Aoka hotanany ny antoka; fa tsy tokony hihomehezan' olona foana isika; indro fa efa nampanateriko ny zanak' osy ary hianao tsy nahita azy kosa.

Juda reprit : Qu' elle garde tout : il ne faut pas qu' on se moque de nous, mais j' ai bien envoyé le chevreau que voici, et toi, tu ne l' as pas retrouvée.

Gen / Jen 38:24

And it came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt.

Ary rehefa afaka tokony ho telo volana, dia nisy nanambara tamin' i Joda hoe: Efa nijangajanga Tamara vinantovavinao; ka indro, efa manan' anaka tamin' ny fijangajangana izy. Dia hoy Joda: Avoahy izy hodorana.

Environ trois mois après, on avertit Juda : Ta belle-fille Tamar, lui dit-on, s' est prostituée, elle est même enceinte par suite de son inconduite. Alors Juda ordonna : Qu' elle soit amenée dehors et brûlée vive !

When she was brought forth, she sent to her father in law, saying, By the man, whose these are, am I with child: and she said, Discern, I pray thee, whose are these, the signet, and bracelets, and staff.

Ary rehefa navoaka izy, dia naniraka tany amin' ny rafozany ka nanao hoe: Ny lehilahy izay tompon' ireto no nananako anaka; ary hoy koa izy: Masìna ianao, fantaro izay tompon' ireto fanombohan-kase sy kofehy ary tehina ireto.

Nony navoaka anefa ravehivavy, dia naniraka hilaza amin-drafozany hoe: Izay lehilahy tompon' ireto zavatra ireto no nananako anaka. Ka zahao tsara, hoy izy, izay tompon' ity peratra sy ity kofehy ary ity tehina ity.

Mais, comme on l' amenait, elle envoya dire à son beau-père : C' est de l' homme à qui appartient cela que je suis enceinte. Reconnais donc, dit-elle, à qui appartient ce sceau, ce cordon et cette canne.

Gen / Jen 38:26

And Judah acknowledged them, and said, She hath been more righteous than I; because that I gave her not to Shelah my son. And he knew her again no more.

Juda les reconnut et dit : Elle est plus juste que moi. C' est qu' en effet je ne lui avais pas donné mon fils Shéla. Et il n' eut plus de rapports avec elle.

Gen / Jen 38:27

And it came to pass in the time of her travail, that, behold, twins were in her womb.

Ary tamin' ny andro niterahany, indro, nisy zaza kambana tao an-kibony.

Nony tonga ny fotoana hiterahany, injao zaza kambana no tao an-kibony.

Lorsque vint le temps de ses couches, il apparut qu' elle avait dans son sein des jumeaux.

Gen / Jen 38:28

And it came to pass, when she travailed, that the one put out his hand: and the midwife took and bound upon his hand a scarlet thread, saying, This came out first.

Ary raha niteraka izy, dia niseho ny tanan' ny anankiray, ary naka kofehy mena ny mpampivelona, ka nafehiny tamin' ny tànany, sady hoy izy: Ity no niseho voalohany.

Teo am-piterahany, natrangan' ny anankiray aloha ny tànany, ka noraisin' ny mpampivelona nofeheziny tamin' ny kofehy mena, nataony hoe: ity no nivoaka voalohany.

Pendant l' accouchement, l' un d' eux tendit la main et la sage-femme la saisit et y attacha un fil écarlate, en disant : C' est celui-là qui est sorti le premier.

Gen / Jen 38:29

And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this breach be upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez.

Ary rehefa nahemony ny tànany, dia, indro, teraka ny rahalahiny; ary hoy ny mpampivelona: Ahoana no nibosesehanao? dia nataony hoe Fareza no anarany.

Kanjo nahemotr' ilay zaza ny tànany, ka indro fa ny rahalahiny no nivoaka. Akory ity fibosesehana nataonao, hoy ny mpampivelona. Hihatra aminao anie ny fibosesehana. Dia natao hoe Faresa ny anarany.

Mais il advint qu' il retira sa main et ce fut son frère qui sortit. Alors elle dit : Comme tu t' es ouvert une brèche ! Et on l' appela Péreç.

Gen / Jen 38:30

And afterward came out his brother, that had the scarlet thread upon his hand: and his name was called Zarah.

Ary rehefa afaka izany, dia teraka koa ny rahalahiny, izay nisy ilay kofehy mena tamin' ny tànany; dia nataony hoe Zera no anarany.

Izay vao nivoaka ilay rahalahiny, nifehy kofehy mena ny tànany, ka natao hoe Zarà ny anarany.

Ensuite sortit son frère, qui avait le fil écarlate à la main, et on l' appela Zérah.
