Gen / Jen 2:1

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

Ainsi furent achevés le ciel et la terre, avec toute leur armée.

And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,

And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

il n' y avait encore aucun arbuste des champs sur la terre et aucune herbe des champs n' avait encore poussé, car Yahvé Dieu n' avait pas fait pleuvoir sur la terre et il n' y avait pas d' homme pour cultiver le sol.

But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

Toutefois, un flot montait de terre et arrosait toute la surface du sol.

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Alors Yahvé Dieu modela l' homme avec la glaise du sol, il insuffla dans ses narines une haleine de vie et l' homme devint un être vivant.

Gen / Jen 2:8

And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

Ary Jehovah Andriamanitra nanao saha tao Edena tany atsinanana, ka napetrany tao ralehilahy izay noforoniny.

Ary Iaveh Andriamanitra nanao saha tany Edena, tany atsinanana, ka napetrany tao ny olona izay noforoniny.

Yahvé Dieu planta un jardin en Éden, à l' orient, et il y mit l' homme qu' il avait modelé.

And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Ary nampanirin' i Jehovah Andriamanitra teo amin' ny tany ny hazo rehetra izay maha-te-hizaha sady tsara ho fihinana, ary ny hazon' aina teo afovoan' ny saha sy ny hazo fahalalana ny tsara sy ny ratsy.

Ary nampanirin' ny Tompo Andriamanitra tamin' ny tany izao hazo rehetra mahate-hijery sady fihinana isan-karazany izao sy ny hazon' aina tao afovoan' ny saha, ary ny hazon' ny fahalalana ny tsara sy ny ratsy.

Yahvé Dieu fit pousser du sol toute espèce d' arbres séduisants à voir et bons à manger, et l' arbre de vie au milieu du jardin, et l' arbre de la connaissance du bien et du mal.

Gen / Jen 2:10

And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

Un fleuve sortait d'Éden pour arroser le jardin et de là il se divisait pour former quatre bras.

The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

Le premier s' appelle le Pishôn : il contourne tout le pays de Havila, où il y a l' or;

And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.

l' or de ce pays est pur et là se trouvent le bdellium et la pierre de cornaline.

And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.

Le deuxième fleuve s' appelle le Gihôn : il contourne tout le pays de Kush.

And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

Le troisième fleuve s' appelle le Tigre : il coule à l' orient d' Assur. Le quatrième fleuve est l' Euphrate.

And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

Ary Jehovah Andriamanitra nitondra an-dralehilahy ka namponina azy tao amin' ny saha Edena hiasa sy hitandrina azy.

Dia nalain' ny Tompo Andriamanitra ralehilahy, ka napetrany tao amin' ny sahan' i Edena, mba hiasa sy hiandry azy.

Yahvé Dieu prit l' homme et l'établit dans le jardin d'Éden pour le cultiver et le garder.

Gen / Jen 2:16

And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

Ary Jehovah Andriamanitra nandidy an-dralehilahy ka nanao hoe: Ny hazo rehetra eo amin' ny saha dia azonao ihinanana ihany;

Ary Iaveh Andriamanitra nanome izao didy izao an-dralehilahy: Azonao ihinanana avokoa ny hazo rehetra eto amin' ny saha.

Et Yahvé Dieu fit à l' homme ce commandement : Tu peux manger de tous les arbres du jardin.

Gen / Jen 2:17

But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

fa ny hazo fahalalana ny tsara sy ny ratsy dia aza ihinanana; fa amin' ny andro izay ihinananao azy dia ho faty tokoa ianao.

Nefa aza ihinananao ny hazo fahalalana ny tsara sy ny ratsy, fa ho faty mihitsy hianao amin' ny andro hihinananao.

Mais de l' arbre de la connaissance du bien et du mal tu ne mangeras pas, car, le jour où tu en mangeras, tu deviendras passible de mort.

Gen / Jen 2:18

And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

Ary Jehovah Andriamanitra nanao hoe: Tsy tsara raha irery ralehilahy; dia hanaovako vady sahaza ho azy izy.

Ary hoy Iaveh Andriamanitra: Tsy tsara raha irery ny lehilahy; fa hanaovako mpanampy azy mitovy aminy izy.

Yahvé Dieu dit : Il n' est pas bon que l' homme soit seul. Il faut que je lui fasse une aide qui lui soit assortie.

Gen / Jen 2:19

And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

Ary tany no namoronan' i Jehovah Andriamanitra ny bibi-dia rehetra sy ny voro-manidina rehetra; dia nentiny tany amin-dralehilahy ireny hahitany izay hanononany azy avy; ary izay rehetra nanononan-dralehilahy ny zava-manan' aina rehetra, dia izany no anarany.

Ary Iaveh Andriamanitra, izay efa namorona tamin' ny tany ny biby rehetra eny an-tsaha sy ny vorona rehetra eny amin' ny habakabaka dia nampiavy azy hankeo amin-dralehilahy mba hahitany izay hanononany azy avy; hitondran' ny zava-manana aina rehetra ny anarana homen-dralehilahy azy avy.

Yahvé Dieu modela encore du sol toutes les bêtes sauvages et tous les oiseaux du ciel, et il les amena à l' homme pour voir comment celui-ci les appellerait : chacun devait porter le nom que l' homme lui aurait donné.

Gen / Jen 2:20

And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

Dia nomen-dralehilahy anarana ny biby fiompy rehetra sy ny ny voro-manidina mbamin' ny bibi-dia rehetra; nefa tsy hita izay vady sahaza ho an-dralehilahy.

L' homme donna des noms à tous les bestiaux, aux oiseaux du ciel et à toutes les bêtes sauvages, mais, pour un homme, il ne trouva pas l' aide qui lui fût assortie.

Gen / Jen 2:21

And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

Ary Jehovah Andriamanitra nahasondrian-tory an-dralehilahy, ka dia natory izy; dia naka ny taolan-tehezany anankiray Izy ka nanakombona nofo ho solony.

Alors Yahvé Dieu fit tomber une torpeur sur l' homme, qui s' endormit. Il prit une de ses côtes et referma la chair à sa place.

Gen / Jen 2:22

And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

Ary ny taolan-tehezana izay nalain' i Jehovah Andriamanitra tamin-dralehilahy dia nataony vehivavy ka nentiny tany amin-dralehilahy.

Ny taolan-tehezana nalain' ny Tompo Andriamanitra tamin-dralehilahy dia namoronany vehivavy iray, ka nentiny teo amin-dralehilahy.

Puis, de la côte qu' il avait tirée de l' homme, Yahvé Dieu façonna une femme et l' amena à l' homme.

Gen / Jen 2:23

And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

Ary hoy ralehilahy: Ankehitriny dia taolana avy amin' ny taolako sy nofo avy amin' ny nofoko ity; ity dia hatao hoe vehivavy satria lehilahy no nanalana azy.

Alors celui-ci s'écria : Pour le coup, c' est l' os de mes os et la chair de ma chair ! Celle-ci sera appelée femme, car elle fut tirée de l' homme, celle-ci !

Gen / Jen 2:24

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Ary noho izany ny lehilahy dia handao ny rainy sy ny reniny ka hikambana amin' ny vadiny; dia ho nofo iray ihany ireo.

Noho izany handao ny ray aman-dreniny ny lehilahy, ka hikambana amin' ny vadiny; ary ho nofo iray ihany izy ireo.

C' est pourquoi l' homme quitte son père et sa mère et s' attache à sa femme, et ils deviennent une seule chair.

Gen / Jen 2:25

And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Ary nitanjaka izy mivady, dia ralehilahy sy ny vadiny, nefa tsy nahalala henatra izy.

Samy nitanjaka izy roa, dia ralehilahy sy ny vadiny, nefa tsy nahamenatra azy izany.

Or tous deux étaient nus, l' homme et sa femme, et ils n' avaient pas honte l' un devant l' autre.
