Gen / Jen 33:1

And Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau came, and with him four hundred men. And he divided the children unto Leah, and unto Rachel, and unto the two handmaids.

Jacob levant les yeux, vit qu'Ésaü arrivait accompagné de quatre cents hommes. Alors, il répartit les enfants entre Léa, Rachel et les deux servantes,

And he put the handmaids and their children foremost, and Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph hindermost.

Ary nataony loha-lalana ny ankizivavy roa sy ny zanany, ary Lea sy ny zanany nanarakaraka, ary Rahely sy Josefa no vodi-lalana.

Ny ankizivavy sy ny zanany no nanarakaraka; Rasela sy Josefa no vody làlana;

il mit en tête les servantes et leurs enfants, plus loin Léa et ses enfants, plus loin Rachel et Joseph.

Gen / Jen 33:3

And he passed over before them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.

And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.

And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are those with thee? And he said, The children which God hath graciously given thy servant.

Ary Esao nanopy ny masony ka nahita ny zaza amim-behivavy; dia hoy izy: Iza moa ireto miaraka aminao ireto? Ary hoy kosa Jakoba: Ny zaza izay nomen' Andriamanitra ny mpanomponao noho ny fahasoavany.

Nony nanopy ny masony Esao, ka nahita ireto zaza amam-behivavy dia nanao hoe: Iza avy ireto miaraka aminao? Ary hoy Jakoba: Ireo no zaza nomen' Andriamanitra ny mpanomponao.

Lorsqu' il leva les yeux et qu' il vit les femmes et les enfants, il demanda : Qui sont ceux que tu as là ? Jacob répondit : Ce sont les enfants dont Dieu a gratifié ton serviteur.

Gen / Jen 33:6

Then the handmaidens came near, they and their children, and they bowed themselves.

Dia nanatona ny ankizivavy sy ny zanany ka niankohoka.

Nanatona ny ankizivavy, dia izy sy ny zanany, ka niankohoka;

Les servantes s' approchèrent, elles et leurs enfants, et se prosternèrent.

Gen / Jen 33:7

And Leah also with her children came near, and bowed themselves: and after came Joseph near and Rachel, and they bowed themselves.

Dia nanatona koa Lea sy ny zanany ka niankohoka; ary farany, dia nanatona koa Josefa sy Rahely ka niankohoka.

Léa s' approcha elle aussi avec ses enfants et ils se prosternèrent; enfin Rachel et Joseph s' approchèrent et se prosternèrent.

Gen / Jen 33:8

And he said, What meanest thou by all this drove which I met? And he said, These are to find grace in the sight of my lord.

Ary hoy Esao: Inona moa no hevitr' ireny antokony rehetra nifanena tamiko ireny? Ary hoy izy: Mba hahitako fitia eto imason' itompokolahy.

Ary hoy Esao: Kasainao hatao inona avy ireny antokony rehetra nifanena tamiko ireny? Dia hoy Jakoba: Ny mba hahitako fitia eo imason' ny tompoko.

Ésaü demanda : Que veux-tu faire de tout ce camp que j' ai rencontré ? - C' est, répondit-il, pour trouver grâce aux yeux de Monseigneur.

Gen / Jen 33:9

And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that thou hast unto thyself.

Ary dia hoy Esao: Manam-be ihany aho, ry rahalahiko; aoka ihany ho anao ny anao.

Fa hoy Esao: Efa manam-be aho, ry rahalahiko, ka tano ho anao ihany ny anao.

Ésaü reprit : J' ai suffisamment, mon frère, garde ce qui est à toi.

Gen / Jen 33:10

And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me.

Ary hoy Jakoba: Trarantitra ianao, aza an' izany; raha mba mahita fitia eto imasonao aho, dia raiso amin' ny tanako ny zavatra nampanateriko; fa efa nahita ny tavanao aho tahaka ny mahita ny tavan' Andriamanitra, ary efa sitrakao aho.

Ary hoy Jakoba: Tsia, fa miangavy aminao, raha mba nahita fitia teo imasonao ihany aho, raiso avy amin' ny tànako ny fanomezako; fa izany nahitako ny tavanao hoatra ny mahita ny tavan' Andriamanitra, ary efa mba tsara koa ny nandraisanao ahy.

Mais Jacob dit : Non, je t' en prie ! Si j' ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, reçois de ma main mon présent. En effet, j' ai affronté ta présence comme on affronte celle de Dieu, et tu m' as bien reçu.

Gen / Jen 33:11

Take, I pray thee, my blessing that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.

Trarantitra ianao, raiso re ny saotro izay nampanaterina ho anao; fa efa nanisy soa ahy Andriamanitra, ka manam-be aho. Dia nanery azy izy, ka dia noraisiny ihany ny zavatra.

Koa raiso ny fanatitro izay nentina teny aminao; fa efa nanisy soa ahy Andriamanitra, ka tsy orin' inon' inona aho. Dia notereny mafy teo Esao, ka nandray.

Accepte donc le présent qui t' est apporté, car Dieu m' a favorisé et j' ai tout ce qu' il me faut et, sur ses instances, Ésaü accepta.

Gen / Jen 33:12

And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before thee.

Ary hoy Esao: Aoka hiainga isika, ka handeha hialoha anao aho.

Gen / Jen 33:13

And he said unto him, My lord knoweth that the children are tender, and the flocks and herds with young are with me: and if men should overdrive them one day, all the flock will die.

Mais Jacob lui répondit : Monseigneur sait que les enfants sont délicats et que je dois penser aux brebis et aux vaches qui allaitent : si on les surmène un seul jour, tout le bétail va mourir.

Gen / Jen 33:14

Let my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servant: and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goeth before me and the children be able to endure, until I come unto my lord unto Seir.

Trarantitra ianao, aoka itompokolahy hialoha ny mpanompony; ary izaho handeha miadana araka izay dian' ny omby aman' ondry, izay ho eo alohako, sy ny dian' ny zaza, mandra-pahatongako any amin' itompokolahy any Seira.

Ka aoka ny tompoko hialoha ny mpanompony; fa izaho kosa hanaraka miadana, araka ny dian' ny biby fiompy izay mandeha eo alohako, sy ny dian' ny ankizy, mandra-pahatongako any amin' ny tompoko any Seira.

Que Monseigneur parte donc en avant de son serviteur; pour moi, je cheminerai doucement au pas du troupeau que j' ai devant moi et au pas des enfants, jusqu'à ce que j' arrive chez Monseigneur, en Séïr.

Gen / Jen 33:15

And Esau said, Let me now leave with thee some of the folk that are with me. And he said, What needeth it? let me find grace in the sight of my lord.

Ary hoy Esao: Masìna ianao, aoka ary mba hamelako hiaraka aminao ny olona izay momba ahy. Fa hoy Jakoba: Ahoana no anaovanao izany? Aoka hahita fitia eto imason' itompokolahy aho.

Dia hoy Esao: Avelao àry hamelako hiaraka aminao ahay ny sasany amin' ny olona miaraka amiko.

Alors Ésaü dit : Je vais au moins laisser avec toi une partie des gens qui m' accompagnent ! Mais Jacob répondit : Pourquoi cela ? Que je trouve seulement grâce aux yeux de Monseigneur !

Gen / Jen 33:16

So Esau returned that day on his way unto Seir.

Dia niverina androtrizay Esao tamin' ny lalany ho any Seira.

Dia niverina anankany Seira androtr' iny ihany Esao.

Ésaü reprit ce jour-là sa route vers Séïr,

Gen / Jen 33:17

And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built him an house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.

Ary Jakoba nifindra nankany Sokota ka nanao trano ho azy ary nanao trano rantsan-kazo maromaro ho an' ny omby aman' ondriny; izany no nanaovana ny anaran' io tany io hoe Sokota.

Jakoba kosa nankao Sokota, dia nanao trano ho azy sy nanao trano tomboka ho an' ny biby fiompiny koa. Izany no nanaovana ny anaran' io tany io hoe Sokota.

mais Jacob partit pour Sukkot, il se bâtit une maison et fit des huttes pour son bétail; c' est pourquoi on a donné à l' endroit le nom de Sukkot.

Gen / Jen 33:18

And Jacob came to Shalem, a city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Padanaram; and pitched his tent before the city.

Ary Jakoba tonga soa aman-tsara tao an-tanàna Sekema, izay eo amin' ny tany Kanana, rehefa avy tany Mesopotamia izy; dia nitoby tandrifin' ny tanàna.

Dia tafaverina avy any Padan-Arama Jakoba ka tonga soa aman-tsara tao Sikema, amin' ny tany Kanaana, ary nitoby teo anoloan' ny tanàna.

Puis Jacob arriva sain et sauf à la ville de Sichem, au pays de Canaan, lorsqu' il revint de Paddân-Aram, et il campa en face de la ville.

Gen / Jen 33:19

And he bought a parcel of a field, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem' s father, for an hundred pieces of money.

Dia novidiny vola zato tamin' ny zanak' i Hamora, rain' i Sekema, ny tany izay nanorenany ny lainy.

Gen / Jen 33:20

And he erected there an altar, and called it EleloheIsrael.

Ary nanangana otely teo izy, ka nomeny anarana hoe: El-Elohe-Israely.

et il y érigea un autel, qu' il nomma El, Dieu d' Israël .
