Chapitres:

All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers.

Ny lalàna rehetra izay andidiako anao anio dia tandremo harahinareo, mba ho velona ianareo ka hihamaro ary hiditra sady handova ny tany izay nianianan' i Jehovah tamin' ny razanareo homena azy.

Mitandrema tsara hanaraka ny didy rehetra nandidiako anareo androany, mba ho velona hianareo, sy hihamaro ary hiditra haka ho fanananareo ny tany izay nianianan' ny Tompo homena ny razanareo.

Vous garderez tous les commandements que je vous ordonne aujourd' hui de mettre en pratique, afin que vous viviez, que vous multipliiez et que vous entriez dans le pays que Yahvé a promis par serment à vos pères et le possédiez.

Deo / Dt 8:2

And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.

Ary tsarovy ny lalana rehetra izay nitondran' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao anao tany an-efitra izao efa-polo taona izao, hampanetry tena anao sy hizaha toetra anao ary hahalala izay ao am-ponao, na hitandrina ny didiny ianao, na tsia.

Tsarovy izany làlana rehetra izay nasain' ny Tompo Andriamanitrao nandehananao, tany an' efitra, nandritra ny efapolo taona izao, mba hampanetry tena anao, sy hitsapa ny tenanao, dia hahalalany izay hevitrao ao am-ponao, na hitandrina ny didiny hianao, na tsia.

Souviens-toi de tout le chemin que Yahvé ton Dieu t' a fait faire pendant quarante ans dans le désert, afin de t' humilier, de t'éprouver et de connaître le fond de ton coeur : allais-tu ou non garder ses commandements ?

And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.

Dia nampanetry tena anao Izy ka namela anao ho noana, dia nanome anao ny mana hohaninao, izay tsy fantatrao na ny razanao, hampahafantarany anao fa tsy mofo ihany no iveloman' ny olona; fa izay rehetra aloaky ny vavan' i Jehovah no iveloman' ny olona.

Nampietry tena anao izy sy namela anao ho noana, ary namahana anao tamin' ny mana, izay tsy fantatrao, na fantatry ny razanao, mba hampahalalàny anao fa tsy ny mofo ihany no iveloman' ny olona, fa izay rehetra mivoaka avy amin' ny vavan' Andriamanitra no iveloman' ny olona.

Il t' a humilié, il t' a fait sentir la faim, il t' a donné à manger la manne que ni toi ni tes pères n' aviez connue, pour te montrer que l' homme ne vit pas seulement de pain, mais que l' homme vit de tout ce qui sort de la bouche de Yahvé.

Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.

Ny fitafianao teny aminao tsy rovitra, ary ny tongotrao tsy nivonto izao efa-polo taona izao.

Ny fitafiana tsy nihatonta teny aminao, ny tongotrao tsy nivonto, mandritra izao efapolo taona izao,

Le vêtement que tu portais ne s' est pas usé et ton pied n' a pas enflé, au cours de ces quarante ans !

Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee.

Koa aoka ho fantatrao amin' ny fonao, fa tahaka ny fananaran' ny olona ny zanany no fananaran' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao anao.

mba hiekenao ao am-ponao, fa toy ny ampianaran' ny olombelona ny zanany, no ampianaran' ny Tompo Andriamanitrao anao,

Comprends donc que Yahvé ton Dieu te corrigeait comme un père corrige son enfant,

Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.

Ary tandremo ny didin' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao, mba handehananao amin' ny lalany sy hatahoranao Azy.

ary mba hitandremanao ny didin' ny Tompo Andriamanitrao amim-panarahana ny làlany, sy amim-pahatahorana azy.

et garde les commandements de Yahvé ton Dieu pour marcher dans ses voies et pour le craindre.

For the Lord thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills;

Fa Jehovah Andriamanitrao efa hampiditra anao any amin' ny tany soa, dia tany misy renirano sy loharano ary rano lalina eny amin' ny lohasaha sy ny tendrombohitra,

Fa efa hampidirin' ny Tompo Andriamanitrao, any amin' ny tany soa hianao, dia tany misy ranon-driaka aman-doharano, sy rano lalina miboiboika avy amin' ny lohasaha aman-tendrombohitra;

Mais Yahvé ton Dieu te conduit vers un heureux pays, pays de cours d' eau, de sources qui sourdent de l' abîme dans les vallées comme dans les montagnes,

A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey;

tany misy vary tritika sy vary hordea sy voaloboka sy aviavy ary ampongaben-danitra, tany misy hazo oliva sy tantely,

tany vokatra varimbazaha, orja, voaloboka, aviavy, ampongabendanitra;

pays de froment et d' orge, de vigne, de figuiers et de grenadiers, pays d' oliviers, d' huile et de miel,

Deo / Dt 8:9

A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass.

tany izay hihinananao hanina amin' ny fanaranam-po, sady tsy hanan-java-mahory akory eo ianao, tany misy vy ny vato ao aminy, ary ao amin' ny tendrombohiny no hihadianao varahina.

tany be oliva sy diloilo aman-tantely; tany hihinanana mofo amam-panaranam-po sy tsy hanananao zava-mahory; ny vato amin' izany tany izany dia vy ary ny tandrombohitra ihadiam-barahina.

pays où le pain ne te sera pas mesuré et où tu ne manqueras de rien, pays où il y a des pierres de fer et d' où tu extrairas, dans la montagne, le bronze.

When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the Lord thy God for the good land which he hath given thee.

Ary rehefa nihinana ianao ka voky ary misaotra an' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao noho ny tany soa izay nomeny anao,

Hihinana hianao dia ho voky, ary hisaotra an' ny Tompo Andriamanitrao noho ny tany soa nomeny anao.

Tu mangeras, tu te rassasieras et tu béniras Yahvé ton Dieu en cet heureux pays qu' il t' a donné.

Beware that thou forget not the Lord thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:

dia mitandrema, fandrao hadinoinao Jehovah Andriamanitrao, ka tsy tandremanao ny didiny sy ny fitsipiny ary ny lalàny, izay andidiako anao anio;

Tandremo fandrao manadino an' ny Tompo Andriamanitrao hianao, ka manao tsirambina ny fitandremana ny didiny sy ny fitsìpika aman-dalàny izay andidiako anao anio,

Garde-toi d' oublier Yahvé ton Dieu en négligeant ses commandements, ses coutumes et ses lois que je te prescris aujourd' hui.

Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein;

fandrao rahefa mihinana hianao, ka voky, sy manao trano, ka monina an-trano soa,

Quand tu auras mangé et te seras rassasié, quand tu auras bâti de belles maisons et les habiteras,

And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied;

ary mihamaro ny ombinao sy ny ondry aman' osinao, ary mitombo koa ny volafotsinao sy ny volamenanao, ary mitombo ny fanananao rehetra,

ary mahita ny omby aman' ondrinao mihamaro, sy ny volafotsy amam-bolamena mitombo, ary ny fanananao rehetra mitombo,

quand tu auras vu multiplier ton gros et ton petit bétail, abonder ton argent et ton or, s' accroître tous tes biens,

Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the Lord thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;

dia hiavonavona ny fonao, ka hohadinoinao Jehovah Andriamanitrao, Izay nitondra anao nivoaka avy tany amin' ny tany Egypta, tamin' ny trano nahandevozana,

dia hiavonavona ny fonao, ka hohadinoinao Iaveh Andriamanitrao, izay nampivoaka anao avy tany amin' ny tany Ejipta, tamin' ny trano fanandevozana,

que tout cela n'élève pas ton coeur ! N' oublie pas alors Yahvé ton Dieu qui t' a fait sortir du pays d'Égypte, de la maison de servitude ;

Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint;

Izay nitondra anao tany amin' ny efitra lehibe sady mahatahotra, izay misy menaran' afo sy maingoka, dia ny tany mangentana tsy misy rano, ary nampivoaka rano ho anao avy tamin' ny vatolampy afovato,

izay nitondra anao tany amin' ity efitra lehibe sy mahatahotra misy bibilava mivaivay sy maingoka, amin' ny fitoerana ngàzana sy tsy misy rano; izay nampiboiboika rano ho anao, avy amin' ny vatolampy mafy indrindra,

lui qui t' a fait passer à travers ce désert grand et redoutable, pays des serpents brûlants, des scorpions et de la soif ; lui qui dans un lieu sans eau a fait pour toi jaillir l' eau de la roche la plus dure ;

Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end;

Izay nanome anao mana hohanina tany an-efitra, dia zavatra tsy fantatry ny razanao, mba hampanetry tena anao sy hizaha toetra anao ary hanisy soa anao any am-parany;

izay nanome mana hohaninao tany an' efitra, dia zavatra tsy fantatry ny razanao akory, mba hampanetry tena anao sy hizaha toetra anao, ary hanisy soa anao any aoriana,

lui qui dans le désert t' a donné à manger la manne, inconnue de tes pères, afin de t' humilier et de t'éprouver pour que ton avenir soit heureux !

Deo / Dt 8:17

And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.

ary andrao ianao hanao anakampo hoe: Ny tanjako sy ny herin' ny tanako no nahavoriako izao harena izao;

fandrao hianao hanao anakampo hoe: Ny heriko aman-tanjaky ny tànako no nahavoriako izao harena izao.

Garde-toi de dire en ton coeur : " C' est ma force, c' est la vigueur de ma main qui m' ont fait agir avec cette puissance. "

Deo / Dt 8:18

But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

fa tsarovy Jehovah Andriamanitrao, fa Izy no manome anao hery hahavory harena, mba haoriny ny fanekeny, izay nianianany tamin' ny razanao, tahaka ny amin' izao anio izao.

Tsarovy Iaveh Andriamanitrao, fa izy no manome hery hamorianao izany, mba hahatanteraka ny fanekeny, izay nianianany tamin' ny razanao, araka izao ankehitriny izao.

Souviens-toi de Yahvé ton Dieu : c' est lui qui t' a donné cette force, pour agir avec puissance, gardant ainsi, comme aujourd' hui, l' alliance jurée à tes pères.

Deo / Dt 8:19

And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the Lord thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.

Fa raha manadino an' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao mihitsy ianao ka manaraka izay andriamani-kafa sady manompo azy sy miankohoka eo anatrehany, dia milaza aminareo marimarina aho fa haringana tokoa ianareo:

Raha manadino an' ny Tompo Andriamanitrao hianao, ka tonga andriamani-kafa no harahinao sy hotompoinao ary eo anoloany hianao no hiankohoka, dia milaza marimarina aminareo aho izao, fa ho faty tokoa hianareo.

Certes, si tu oublies Yahvé ton Dieu, si tu suis d' autres dieux, si tu les sers et te prosternes devant eux, j' en témoigne aujourd' hui contre vous, vous périrez.

Deo / Dt 8:20

As the nations which the Lord destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the Lord your God.

tahaka ny andringanana ny firenen-tsamy hafa, izay aringan' i Jehovah eo anoloanareo, no handringanana anareo, satria tsy nihaino ny feon' i Jehovah Andriamanitrareo ianareo.

Tahaka ny firenena aringan' ny Tompo eo anoloanareo, dia ho ringana koa hianareo, satria tsy mihaino ny feon' ny Tompo Andriamanitratreo hianareo.

Comme les nations que Yahvé aura fait périr devant vous, ainsi vous-mêmes périrez, pour n' avoir pas écouté la voix de Yahvé votre Dieu.
