The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah concerning the dearth.

Tenin' ny Tompo tonga tamin' i Jeremia, ny amin' ny fahamainan' ny tany.

Parole de Yahvé qui fut adressée à Jérémie à l' occasion de la sécheresse.

Jer / Jr 14:2

Judah mourneth, and the gates thereof languish; they are black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up.

Misaona ny Joda, ary mitanondrika ny vavahadiny; Mitafy lamba fioriana izy ka mipetraka amin' ny tany; Ary miakatra ny fitarainan' i Jerosalema.

Misaona Jodà, miferin' aina ny vavahadiny, mandry amin' ny tany izy efa rera-po, ary miakatra ny fitarainan' i Jerosalema.

Juda est dans le deuil et ses villes languissent elles s' abîment vers la terre, le cri de Jérusalem s'élève.

Jer / Jr 14:3

And their nobles have sent their little ones to the waters: they came to the pits, and found no water; they returned with their vessels empty; they were ashamed and confounded, and covered their heads.

Ny lehibeny maniraka ny madinika hantsaka rano; Dia tonga any amin' ny lavaka famorian-drano ireny, nefa tsy mahita rano ka miverina mitondra loha mody; Menatra sy mangaihay izy ka misaron-doha.

Les riches envoient les petites gens chercher de l' eau Ils arrivent aux citernes, ils ne trouvent point d' eau, ils reviennent avec leurs cruches vides. Ils sont honteux et humiliés et se voilent la tête.

Because the ground is chapt, for there was no rain in the earth, the plowmen were ashamed, they covered their heads.

Noho ny fangentan' ny tany, noho ny tsy nilatsahan' ny ranonorana taminy, dia menatra ny mpiasa ka misaron-doha.

Noho ny tany vaky entana, azon' ny tsy fisian' ny orana amin' ny tany, dia mangaihay ny mpiasa, ka misaron-doha.

Parce que le sol est tout crevassé, car la pluie manque au pays, les laboureurs, honteux, se voilent la tête.

Yea, the hind also calved in the field, and forsook it, because there was no grass.

Ary na dia ny dieravavy any an-tsaha aza, raha miteraka, dia mahafoy noho ny tsi-fisian' ny ahi-maitso.

Ny serfavavy any an-tsaha aza, aterany ny zanany dia ilaozany, noho ny tsy fisian' ny ahitra.

Même la biche, dans la campagne, a mis bas et abandonné son petit, tant l' herbe fait défaut;

Jer / Jr 14:6

And the wild asses did stand in the high places, they snuffed up the wind like dragons; their eyes did fail, because there was no grass.

Ary ny borikidia mijanona eny an-tendrombohitra mangadihady, mihanahana maniry ny rivotra toy ny amboadia izy; Manjambena ny masony noho ny tsi-fisian' ny ahitra.

les onagres, dressés sur les hauteurs, hument l' air comme des chacals leurs yeux s' obscurcissent faute de verdure.

O Lord, though our iniquities testify against us, do thou it for thy name' s sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against thee.

Ry Jehovah ô, na dia miampanga anay aza ny helokay, miasà ihany Hianao noho ny anaranao; Fa be ny fiodinanay, taminao no nanotanay.

Ry Iaveh ô, na dia miampanga anay aza ny helokay, aoka hanao ihany hianao ho voninahitry ny anaranao; fa maro ny hadisoanay; nanota taminao izahay.

Si nos fautes parlent contre nous, agis, Yahvé, pour l' honneur de ton Nom! Oui, nombreuses furent nos rébellions, nous avons péché contre toi.

Jer / Jr 14:8

O the hope of Israel, the saviour thereof in time of trouble, why shouldest thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night?

Ry Fanantenan' ny Isiraely ô, Mpamonjy azy amin' ny andro fahoriana! Nahoana Hianao no dia toy ny vahiny amin' ny tany ary toy ny mpandeha izay manorin-day handry indray alina monja?

Hianao ilay fanantenan' Israely, sy mpanafaka azy amin' ny andro fahoriana, nahoana no dia tahaka ny vahiny amin' ny tany, sy tahaka ny mpandeha manorin-day handry amin' ny alina?

Espoir d' Israël, Yahvé, son Sauveur en temps de détresse, pourquoi es-tu comme un étranger en ce pays, comme un voyageur qui fait un détour pour la nuit?

Jer / Jr 14:9

Why shouldest thou be as a man astonied, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet thou, O Lord, art in the midst of us, and we are called by thy name; leave us not.

Nahoana Hianao no dia toy ny olona ankona ary toy ny lehilahy mahery tsy mahavonjy? Nefa mbola ato aminay ihany Hianao, Jehovah ô, ary ny anaranao dia efa nantsoina taminay; Aza dia mandao anay.

Pourquoi ressembles-tu à un homme hébété, à un guerrier incapable de sauver? Pourtant tu es au milieu de nous, Yahvé, et nous sommes appelés par ton nom. Ne nous délaisse pas!

Thus saith the Lord unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the Lord doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.

Izao no lazain' i Jehovah amin' ity firenena ity: Te-hirenireny toy izao izy, ka tsy mahajanona ny tongony; Tsy sitrak' i Jehovah izy, Ankehitriny dia tsaroany ny helony, ary valiany ny fahotany.

Izao no lazain' ny Tompo ny amin' ity vahoaka ity: Eny, ny hirenireny atsý arý no tiany, ka tsy mahatana ny tongony izy. Tsy nankasitraka azy intsony Iaveh; dia indro hotsaroany amin' izao ny helony ary hovaliany ny fahotany.

Ainsi parle Yahvé au sujet de ce peuple : Ils aiment courir en tous sens, ils n'épargnent point leurs jambes! Mais Yahvé ne les agrée pas; maintenant il va se souvenir de leur faute et châtier leur péché.

Then said the Lord unto me, Pray not for this people for their good.

Dia hoy Jehovah tamiko: Aza mivavaka ho an' ity firenena ity hahasoa azy.

Dia hoy Iaveh tamiko: Aza mangataka ho an' ity vahoaka ity.

Et Yahvé me dit : "N' intercède pas en faveur de ce peuple, pour son bonheur.

Jer / Jr 14:12

When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.

Fa na dia mifady hanina aza izy, dia tsy hihaino ny fitarainany Aho; Ary na dia manatitra fanatitra dorana sy fanatitra hohanina aza izy, dia tsy hankasitraka azy Aho, fa haripako amin' ny sabatra sy ny mosary ary ny areti-mandringana izy.

Rahefa hifady hanina izy, tsy ho henoiko ny fitarainany, rahefa hanolotra sorona dorana amam-panatitra ho ahy izy, tsy ankasitrahako; fa tiako haripaka izy amin' ny sabatra, ny mosary, sy ny areti-mandringana.

Même s' ils jeûnent, je n'écouterai pas leur supplication; même s' ils présentent holocaustes et oblations, je ne les agréerai pas, mais par l'épée, la famine et la peste je veux les exterminer."

Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, the prophets say unto them, Ye shall not see the sword, neither shall ye have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place.

Dia hoy izaho: Indrisy, Jehovah Tompo ô! Indreo ny mpaminany manao aminy hoe: Tsy hiharan' ny sabatra ianareo, ary tsy ho mosarena; Fa homeko fiadanana maharitra eto amin' ity tany ity ianareo.

Ka hoy aho namaly: Indrisy, ry Iaveh Tompo ˆ, indreto ny mpaminany milaza amin' izy ireo hoe: Tsy hahita sabatra hianareo, ny mosary tsy hisy, fa homeko fiadanana azo antoka tsara amin' ity fiainana ity!

Et je répondis : "Ah! Seigneur Yahvé! Voici que les prophètes leur disent : vous ne verrez pas l'épée, la famine ne vous atteindra pas; mais je vous octroierai une paix véritable en ce lieu."

Then the Lord said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.

Dia hoy Jehovah tamiko: Ireo mpaminany ireo dia maminany lainga amin' ny anarako; Tsy naniraka azy Aho, na nandidy azy, na niteny taminy; Fa fahitana mandainga sy faminaniana tsy marina ary tsinotsinona sy fitaky ny fony no aminaniany aminareo.

Dia hoy Iaveh tamiko: Lainga vinanin' ny mpaminany amin' ny anarako izany; fa izaho tsy naniraka azy, na nanome didy azy; na niteny taminy... Fahitana mandainga, vinany foana, ary fitaky ny fony, izany no faminaniany aminareo.

Alors Yahvé me dit : "C' est le mensonge que ces prophètes prophétisent en mon nom; je ne les ai pas envoyés, je ne leur ai rien ordonné, je ne leur ai point parlé. Visions de mensonge, divinations creuses, rêveries de leur coeur, voilà ce qu' ils vous prophétisent.

Jer / Jr 14:15

Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed.

Koa izao no lazain' i Jehovah ny amin' ireo mpaminany izay maminany amin' ny Anarako ireo nefa tsy nirahiko tsinona ka milaza fa tsy hisy sabatra sy mosary eto amin' ity tany ity: Ny sabatra sy ny mosary indrindra no handringanana ireo mpaminany ireo.

Koa izao no lazain' ny Tompo: Ny amin' ireo mpaminany, maminany amin' ny anarako ireo, izay tsy nirahiko, ka milaza hoe: Tsy hisy sabatra na mosary amin' ity tany ity! dia sabatra ama-mosary indrindra no handringana ireo mpaminany ireo!

C' est pourquoi, ainsi parle Yahvé Ces prophètes qui prophétisent en mon nom, alors que je ne les ai pas envoyés, et qui racontent qu' il n' y aura en ce pays ni épée ni famine, eh bien! c' est par épée et famine qu' ils disparaîtront, ces prophètes-là!

And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them.

Ary ny firenena izay aminanian' ireo koa dia hiely faty eny an-dalamben' i Jerosalema noho ny mosary sy ny sabatra, ka tsy hisy mpandevina ireny, na ny tenany, na ny vadiny, na ny zananilahy, na ny zananivavy, fa haidiko ao aminy ny faharatsiany.

Ny olona aminaniany koa: hatsipy eny an-dalamben' i Jerosalema, fa matin' ny mosary sy ny sabatra ka tsy hisy olona handevina azy, na ny tenany, na ny vadiny, na ny zanany lahy aman-janany vavy, fa harotsako amin' izy ireo ny haratsiany.

Quant aux gens à qui ils prophétisent, ils seront jetés dans les rues de Jérusalem, victimes de la famine et de l'épée; il n' y aura personne pour les enterrer, ni eux, ni leurs femmes, ni leurs fils, ni leurs filles. Je verserai sur eux leur méchanceté!"

Therefore thou shalt say this word unto them; Let mine eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease: for the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous blow.

Koa lazao aminy izao teny izao: Ny ranomasoko hijononoka andro aman' alina ka tsy hitsahatra; Fa ny oloko, zanakavavy virijina, naratra mafy dia mafy tamin' ny kapoka maharary indrindra.

Ary lazao azy ireo izao teny izao: Ny masoko handrotsa-dranomaso andro aman' alina tsy tapaka, fa ny virjiny zanakavavin' ny vahoakako, dia efa hiharan-doza lehibe, sy fery mampanaintaina fatratra.

Tu leur diras cette parole Que mes yeux versent des larmes, jour et nuit sans tarir, car d' une grande blessure est blessée la vierge fille de mon peuple, d' une plaie très grave.

Jer / Jr 14:18

If I go forth into the field, then behold the slain with the sword! and if I enter into the city, then behold them that are sick with famine! yea, both the prophet and the priest go about into a land that they know not.

Raha mivoaka any an-tsaha aho, dia indreny ny matin-tsabatra! Ary raha miditra ao an-tanàna kosa aho, dia indreo ny anan' ny mosary! Eny, ny mpaminany sy ny mpisorona dia mirenireny mankamin' ny tany tsy fantany.

Raha mankany an-tsaha aho, dia indreto olona voagorobaky ny sabatra; raha miditra ao an-tanàna, dia inty ny fahoriana avy amin' ny mosary. Ny mpaminany amam-pisorona avy no mirenireny any amin' ny tany tsy fantany.

Si je sors dans la campagne, voici des victimes de l'épée; si je rentre dans la ville, voici des torturés par la faim; tant le prophète que le prêtre sillonnent le pays : ils ne comprennent plus!

Hast thou utterly rejected Judah? hath thy soul lothed Zion? why hast thou smitten us, and there is no healing for us? we looked for peace, and there is no good; and for the time of healing, and behold trouble!

Efa narianao tokoa va Joda? Efa naharikoriko ny fanahinao va Ziona? Nahoana no dia mamely anay Hianao, ka efa tsy mety sitrana izahay? Nanantena fiadanana izahay, kanjo tsy nahita asa, ary andro fanasitranana, fa indro fampitahorana.

Dia narianao avokoa va Jodà? Efa naharikoriko ny fanahinao va Siona? Nahoana no dia kapohanao tsy manam-pahasitranana izahay? Niandry fiadanana izahay, nefa tsy misy soa kely akory. Niandry fotoam-pahasitranana, kanjo fampitahorana no mitranga.

As-tu pour de bon rejeté Juda? Ou es-tu dégoûté de Sion? Pourquoi nous avoir frappés sans aucune guérison? Nous attendions la paix : rien de bon! Le temps de la guérison : voici l'épouvante!

Jer / Jr 14:20

We acknowledge, O Lord, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against thee.

Jehovah ô, tsaroanay ny faharatsianay sy ny heloky ny razanay; Fa efa nanota taminao izahay.

Ry Iaveh ô, miaiky ny haratsianay izahay, sy ny heloky ny razanay; fa nanota taminao izahay.

Nous connaissons, Yahvé, notre impiété, la faute de nos pères oui, nous avons péché contre toi.

Jer / Jr 14:21

Do not abhor us, for thy name' s sake, do not disgrace the throne of thy glory: remember, break not thy covenant with us.

Noho ny amin' ny anaranao dia aza arianao izahay; Aza atao ho tsinontsinona ny seza fiandrianan' ny voninahitrao; Tsarovy, ka aza tsoahanao ny fanekenao taminay.

Noho ny anaranao, aza dia atao tsinontsinona, aza dia hamavoina ny seza fiandrianan' ny voninahitrao. Tsarovy fa aza tsoahana ny fanekenao taminay.

Pour l' honneur de ton Nom, cesse de rejeter. Ne déshonore point le trône de ta gloire. Souviens-toi, ne romps pas ton alliance avec nous.

Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? art not thou he, O Lord our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for thou hast made all these things.

Mba misy mahalatsaka ranonorana va ireny sampin' ny jentilisa ireny? Na mahay mandatsaka ranonorana mivatravatra va ny lanitra? Fa tsy Hianao ihany va no Izy, ry Jehovah Andriamanitray ô? Koa manantena Anao izahay, satria Hianao no nanao ireo zavatra rehetra ireo.

Mba misy mahalatsak' orana va ny sampy foanan' ny firenena? sa ny lanitra no manome ny ranonorana? Fa tsy hianao ihany, ry Iaveh Andriamanitray? Koa hianao no antenainay, satria hianao no manao izany rehetra izany.

Parmi les Vanités des païens, en est-il qui fassent pleuvoir? Est-ce le ciel qui donne l' ondée? N' est-ce pas toi, Yahvé, notre Dieu? En toi nous espérons, car c' est toi qui fais tout cela.
