(Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)

Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

Rom / Rm 1:8

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;

Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.

For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;

That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.

I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.

So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

Rom / Rm 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Car je ne rougis pas de l'Évangile : il est une force de Dieu pour le salut de tout homme qui croit, du Juif d' abord, puis du Grec.

Rom / Rm 1:17

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Car en lui la justice de Dieu se révèle de la foi à la foi, comme il est écrit : Le juste vivra de la foi. Les païens objet de la colère de Dieu.

Rom / Rm 1:18

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

En effet, la colère de Dieu se révèle du haut du ciel contre toute impiété et toute injustice des hommes, qui tiennent la vérité captive dans l' injustice ;

Rom / Rm 1:19

Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

Rom / Rm 1:20

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Fa ny fombany tsy hita, toy ny fahefany mandrakizay mbamin' ny maha-Andriamanitra azy, dia hitan' ny saina amin' ny asan-tànany ka miseho amin' ny zava-boary rehetra; koa tsy afa-miala tsiny izy ireo,

Ce qu' il a d' invisible depuis la création du monde se laisse voir à l' intelligence à travers ses oeuvres, son éternelle puissance et sa divinité, en sorte qu' ils sont inexcusables ;

Rom / Rm 1:21

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

puisque, ayant connu Dieu, ils ne lui ont pas rendu comme à un Dieu gloire ou actions de grâces, mais ils ont perdu le sens dans leurs raisonnements et leur coeur inintelligent s' est enténébré :

Rom / Rm 1:22

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

Nandoka tena ho hendry izy ka tonga adala,

Nihambo ho hendry izy, ka tonga adala,

dans leur prétention à la sagesse, ils sont devenus fous

Rom / Rm 1:23

And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

koa ny voninahitr' Andriamanitra tsy mety lò dia nosoloany zavatra tahaka ny endriky ny olona mety lò sy ny vorona sy ny biby manan-tongotra efatra ary ny zavatra mandady sy mikisaka.

et ils ont changé la gloire du Dieu incorruptible contre une représentation, simple image d' hommes corruptibles, d' oiseaux, de quadrupèdes, de reptiles.

Rom / Rm 1:24

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

Aussi Dieu les a-t-il livrés selon les convoitises de leur coeur à une impureté où ils avilissent eux-mêmes leurs propres corps ;

Rom / Rm 1:25

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

eux qui ont échangé la vérité de Dieu contre le mensonge, adoré et servi la créature de préférence au Créateur, qui est béni éternellement ! Amen.

Rom / Rm 1:26

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

Aussi Dieu les a-t-il livrés à des passions avilissantes : car leurs femmes ont échangé les rapports naturels pour des rapports contre nature ;

Rom / Rm 1:27

And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

pareillement les hommes, délaissant l' usage naturel de la femme, ont brûlé de désir les uns pour les autres, perpétrant l' infamie d' homme à homme et recevant en leurs personnes l' inévitable salaire de leur égarement.

Rom / Rm 1:28

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Et comme ils n' ont pas jugé bon de garder la vraie connaissance de Dieu, Dieu les a livrés à leur esprit sans jugement, pour faire ce qui ne convient pas :

Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

remplis de toute injustice, de perversité, de cupidité, de malice ; ne respirant qu' envie, meurtre, dispute, fourberie, malignité ; diffamateurs,

Rom / Rm 1:30

Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

détracteurs, ennemis de Dieu, insulteurs, orgueilleux, fanfarons, ingénieux au mal, rebelles à leurs parents,

Rom / Rm 1:31

Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

tsy manam-pahalalana, tsy mitana fanekena, tsy manam-pitiavana, tsy miantra;

tsy ampy saina, mpivadi-panekena, tsy manam-piononana, tsy manana olon-tiana, tsy miantra.

insensés, déloyaux, sans coeur, sans pitié ;

Rom / Rm 1:32

Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

connaissant bien pourtant le verdict de Dieu qui déclare dignes de mort les auteurs de pareilles actions, non seulement ils les font, mais ils approuvent encore ceux qui les commettent.
