And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,

And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?

Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he.

Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened?

Ils lui dirent alors : " Comment donc tes yeux se sont-ils ouverts ? "

He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.

Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not.

They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind.

On le conduit aux Pharisiens, l' ancien aveugle.

And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.

Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see.

A leur tour les Pharisiens lui demandèrent comme il avait recouvré la vue. Il leur dit : " Il m' a appliqué de la boue sur les yeux, je me suis lavé et je vois. "

Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.

Certains des Pharisiens disaient : " Il ne vient pas de Dieu, cet homme-là, puisqu' il n' observe pas le sabbat " ; d' autres disaient : " Comment un homme pécheur peut-il faire de tels signes ? " Et il y eut scission parmi eux.

Jao / Jo 9:17

They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet.

But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight.

Les Juifs ne crurent pas qu' il eût été aveugle tant qu' ils n' eurent pas appelé les parents de celui qui avait recouvré la vue.

And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see?

Ils leur demandèrent : " Celui-ci est-il votre fils dont vous dites qu' il est né aveugle ? Comment donc y voit-il à présent ? "

Jao / Jo 9:20

His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind:

Ses parents répondirent : " Nous savons que c' est notre fils et qu' il est né aveugle.

Jao / Jo 9:21

But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself.

Mais comment il y voit maintenant, nous ne le savons pas ; ou bien qui lui a ouvert les yeux, nous, nous ne le savons pas. Interrogez-le, il a l'âge ; lui-même s' expliquera sur son propre compte. "

Jao / Jo 9:22

These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.

Ses parents dirent cela parce qu' ils avaient peur des Juifs ; car déjà les Juifs étaient convenus que, si quelqu' un reconnaissait Jésus pour le Christ, il serait exclu de la synagogue.

Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.

C' est pour cela que ses parents dirent : " Il a l'âge : interrogez-le. "

Jao / Jo 9:24

Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.

Dia niantso ilay jamba teo aloha indray izy ka nanao taminy hoe: Omeo voninahitra Andriamanitra; izahay mahalala fa mpanota izany Lehilahy izany.

Les Juifs appelèrent donc une seconde fois l' homme qui avait été aveugle et lui dirent : " Rends gloire à Dieu ! Nous savons, nous, que cet homme est un pécheur. "

He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.

Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes?

Jao / Jo 9:27

He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples?

Il leur répondit : " Je vous l' ai déjà dit et vous n' avez pas écouté. Pourquoi voulez-vous l' entendre à nouveau ? Est-ce que, vous aussi, vous voudriez devenir ses disciples ? "

Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses' disciples.

We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.

Moizy fantatray fa nitenenan' Andriamanitra, fa iny kosa tsy fantatray akory izay nihaviany.

Nous savons, nous, que Dieu a parlé à Moïse ; mais celui-là, nous ne savons pas d' où il est. "

The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.

L' homme leur répondit : " C' est bien là l'étonnant : que vous ne sachiez pas d' où il est, et qu' il m' ait ouvert les yeux.

Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

Nous savons que Dieu n'écoute pas les pécheurs, mais si quelqu' un est religieux et fait sa volonté, celui-là il l'écoute.

Jao / Jo 9:32

Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.

Hatrizay hatrizay dia tsy mbola re fa nisy nampahiratra ny mason' izay teraka jamba.

Na oviana na oviana tsy mbola nisy olona re fa nampahiratra ny teraka jamba;

Jamais on n' a ouï dire que quelqu' un ait ouvert les yeux d' un aveugle-né.

Jao / Jo 9:33

If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.

Raha tsy avy amin' Andriamanitra izany Lehilahy izany, dia tsy mahefa na inona na inona Izy.

ka raha tsy avy amin' Andriamanitra izany Lehilahy izany, dia tsy hahefa na inona na inona akory.

Si cet homme ne venait pas de Dieu, il ne pourrait rien faire. "

Jao / Jo 9:34

They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.

Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?

He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?

Ralehilahy namaly ka nanao hoe: Iza moa no Izy, Tompoko, mba hinoako Azy?

Namaly izy ka nanao hoe: Iza moa no izy, Tompoko, mba hinoako azy?

Il répondit : " Et qui est-il, Seigneur, que je croie en lui ? "

Jao / Jo 9:37

And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.

Hoy Jesosy taminy: Efa nahita Azy ianao, sady Izay miresaka aminao izao no Izy.

Dia hoy Jeso taminy: Efa hitanao izy, ary izay miteny aminao no izy.

Jésus lui dit ; " Tu le vois ; celui qui te parle, c' est lui. "

Jao / Jo 9:38

And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.

Ka hoy izy: Mino aho, Tompoko; sady niankohoka nitsaoka azy izy.

Alors il déclara : " Je crois, Seigneur ", et il se prosterna devant lui.

And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?

Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

Hoy Jesosy taminy: Raha jamba ianareo, dia tsy ho nanan-keloka; nefa hoy ianareo ankehitriny: Mahiratra izahay; dia tsy afaka ny helokareo.

Jésus leur dit : " Si vous étiez aveugles, vous n' auriez pas de péché ; mais vous dites : Nous voyons ! Votre péché demeure. "
