Chapitres:

In the three and twentieth year of Joash the son of Ahaziah king of Judah Jehoahaz the son of Jehu began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned seventeen years.

2Mp 13:2

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, and followed the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which made Israel to sin; he departed not therefrom.

2Mp 13:3

And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Syria, and into the hand of Benhadad the son of Hazael, all their days.

2Mp 13:4

And Jehoahaz besought the Lord, and the Lord hearkened unto him: for he saw the oppression of Israel, because the king of Syria oppressed them.

Ary Joahaza nifona tamin' i Jehovah, dia nohenoin' i Jehovah izy, satria hitany ny fahorian' ny Isiraely, fa nampahory azy ny mpanjakan' i Syria.

(And the Lord gave Israel a saviour, so that they went out from under the hand of the Syrians: and the children of Israel dwelt in their tents, as beforetime.

2Mp 13:6

Nevertheless they departed not from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, who made Israel sin, but walked therein: and there remained the grove also in Samaria.)

Neither did he leave of the people to Jehoahaz but fifty horsemen, and ten chariots, and ten thousand footmen; for the king of Syria had destroyed them, and had made them like the dust by threshing.

Now the rest of the acts of Jehoahaz, and all that he did, and his might, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

And Jehoahaz slept with his fathers; and they buried him in Samaria: and Joash his son reigned in his stead.

In the thirty and seventh year of Joash king of Judah began Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned sixteen years.

Tamin' ny taona fahafito amby telo-polo nanjakan' i Joasy, mpanjakan' ny Joda, no vao nanjakan' i Joasy, zanak' i Joahaza, tamin' ny Isiraely tany Samaria, ary nanjaka enina ambin' ny folo taona izy.

And the rest of the acts of Joash, and all that he did, and his might wherewith he fought against Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

2Mp 13:13

And Joash slept with his fathers; and Jeroboam sat upon his throne: and Joash was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel.

Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died. And Joash the king of Israel came down unto him, and wept over his face, and said, O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof.

Quand Elisée fut frappé de la maladie dont il devait mourir, Joas, le roi d' Israël, descendit vers lui, pleura sur son visage et dit : "Mon père! Mon père! Char d' Israël et son attelage!"

And Elisha said unto him, Take bow and arrows. And he took unto him bow and arrows.

And he said to the king of Israel, Put thine hand upon the bow. And he put his hand upon it: and Elisha put his hands upon the king' s hands.

2Mp 13:17

And he said, Open the window eastward. And he opened it. Then Elisha said, Shoot. And he shot. And he said, The arrow of the Lord' s deliverance, and the arrow of deliverance from Syria: for thou shalt smite the Syrians in Aphek, till thou have consumed them.

Fa hamely ny Siriana ao Afeka hianao, mandra-paharingany.

puis il dit : "Ouvre la fenêtre vers l' orient", et il l' ouvrit. Alors Elisée dit : "Tire!" et il tira. Elisée dit : "Flèche de victoire pour Yahvé! Flèche de victoire contre Aram! Tu battras Aram à Apheq, complètement."

2Mp 13:18

And he said, Take the arrows. And he took them. And he said unto the king of Israel, Smite upon the ground. And he smote thrice, and stayed.

Ary hoy koa izy: Raiso ny zana-tsipìka. Dia noraisiny. Ary hoy izy tamin' ny mpanjakan' ny Isiraely: Kapohy ny tany. Ary nokapohiny intelo, dia nitsahatra izy.

Ary hoy indray Elisea: Raiso ny zana-tsipìka. Dia nandray izy. Ary hoy Elisea tamin' ny mpanjakan' Israely: Tifiro ny tany, ka nitifitra intelo izy dia nitsahatra.

Elisée dit : "Prends les flèches"; et il les prit. Elisée dit au roi : "Frappe contre terre", il frappa trois coups et il s' arrêta.

2Mp 13:19

And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed it: whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice.

Ary ilay lehilahin' Andriamanitra dia tezitra taminy ka nanao hoe: Tokony ho nikapoka indimy na inenina ianao, dia ho nasianao ny Syriana mandra-pandringanao azy; fa izao dia intelo ihany no hamelezanao ny Syriana.

Alors l' homme de Dieu s' irrita contre lui : "Il fallait frapper cinq ou six coups! Alors tu aurais battu Aram complètement; maintenant, tu ne le battras que trois fois!"

2Mp 13:20

And Elisha died, and they buried him. And the bands of the Moabites invaded the land at the coming in of the year.

Ary dia maty Elisa ka nalevina. Ary ny mpitoha adin' ny Moabita nananika ny tany amin' ny fitsingerenan' ny taona.

Maty Elisea ka nalevina. Tamin' ny fitsingerena' ny taom-baovao dia nisisika tamin' ny tany ny andian-jirika Moabita.

Elisée mourut et on l' enterra. Des bandes de Moabites faisaient incursion dans le pays chaque année.

2Mp 13:21

And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet.

Il arriva que des gens qui portaient un homme en terre virent la bande; ils jetèrent l' homme dans la tombe d' Elisée et partirent. L' homme toucha les ossements d' Elisée : il reprit vie et se dressa sur ses pieds.

2Mp 13:22

But Hazael king of Syria oppressed Israel all the days of Jehoahaz.

Ary Hazaela, mpanjakan' i Syria, nampahory ny Isiraely tamin' ny andro rehetra nanjakan' i Joahaza.

Tamin' ny andro rehetra nanjakan' i Joakaza dia nampahory an' Israely Hazaela mpanjakan' i Siria.

Hazaèl, roi d' Aram, avait opprimé les Israélites pendant toute la vie de Joachaz.

2Mp 13:23

And the Lord was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet.

Mais Yahvé leur fit grâce et les prit en pitié. Il se tourna vers eux à cause de l' alliance qu' il avait conclue avec Abraham, Isaac et Jacob; il ne voulut pas les anéantir et ne les rejeta pas loin de sa face.

So Hazael king of Syria died; and Benhadad his son reigned in his stead.

Ary maty Hazaela, mpanjakan' i Syria; ary Beni-hadada zanany no nanjaka nandimby azy.

Ary maty Hazaela mpanjakan' i Siria, ka Benhadada zanany no nanjaka nandimby azy.

2Mp 13:25

And Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz took again out of the hand of Benhadad the son of Hazael the cities, which he had taken out of the hand of Jehoahaz his father by war. Three times did Joash beat him, and recovered the cities of Israel.

Ary Joasy, zanak' i Joahaza, naka indray teo an-tànan' i Beni-hadada, zanak' i Hazaela, ny tanàna izay efa nalain' i Hazaela teo an-tànan' i Joahaza, rain' i Joasy, tamin' ny ady. Intelo no nandresen' i Joasy azy, ka dia azony indray ny tanànan' ny Isiraely.

Alors Joas, fils de Joachaz, reprit des mains de Ben-Hadad, fils de Hazaèl, les villes que Hazaèl avait enlevées par les armes à son père Joachaz. Joas le battit trois fois et recouvra les villes d' Israël.
