In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.

En ces jours-là, Ezéchias fut atteint d' une maladie mortelle. Le prophète Isaïe, fils d' Amoç, vint lui dire : "Ainsi parle Yahvé. Mets ordre à ta maison, car tu vas mourir, tu ne vivras pas."

2Mp 20:2

Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the Lord, saying,

Ezéchias se tourna vers le mur et fit cette prière à Yahvé

2Mp 20:3

I beseech thee, O Lord, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

Jehovah ô, enga anie ka hotsarovanao ny nandehanako teo anatrehanao tamin' ny fahamarinana sy tamin' ny foko rehetra ary ny nanaovako izay tsara eo imasonao. Dia nitomany mafy dia mafy izy.

"Ah! Yahvé, souviens-toi, de grâce, que je me suis conduit fidèlement et en toute probité de coeur devant toi, et que j' ai fait ce qui était bien à tes yeux." Et Ezéchias versa d' abondantes larmes.

And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the Lord came to him, saying,

2Mp 20:5

Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the Lord.

Miverena, ka lazao amin' i Hezekia, mpanapaka ny oloko, hoe: Izao no lazain' i Jehovah, Andriamanitr' i Davida rainao: Efa nohenoiko ny fitarainanao, ary efa hitako ny ranomasonao; indro, hahasitrana anao Aho, ka raha afaka ampitso dia hiakatra ho ao an-tranon' i Jehovah ianao.

"Retourne dire à Ezéchias, chef de mon peuple : Ainsi parle Yahvé, Dieu de ton ancêtre David. J' ai entendu ta prière, j' ai vu tes larmes. Je vais te guérir : dans trois jours, tu monteras au Temple de Yahvé.

2Mp 20:6

And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David' s sake.

Ary hampiako dimy ambin' ny folo taona ny andronao; sady hamonjy anao sy ity tanàna ity amin' ny tanan' ny mpanjakan' i Asyria Aho; ary hiaro ity tanàna ity Aho noho ny amin' ny tenako sy Davida mpanompoko.

J' ajouterai quinze années à ta vie, je te délivrerai, toi et cette ville, de la main du roi d' Assyrie, je protégerai cette ville à cause de moi et de mon serviteur David."

2Mp 20:7

And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.

Ary hoy Isaia: Makà ampempan' aviavy. Ary dia nalainy ka napetany tamin' ny vay, dia sitrana izy.

Isaïe dit : "Prenez un pain de figues"; on en prit un, on l' appliqua sur l' ulcère et le roi guérit.

2Mp 20:8

And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that the Lord will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the Lord the third day?

Ary hoy Hezekia tamin' i Isaia: Inona no famantarana fa hositranin' i Jehovah aho ka hiakatra any an-tranon' i Jehovah raha afaka ampitso?

Ezéchias dit à Isaïe : "A quel signe connaîtrai-je que Yahvé va me guérir et que, dans trois jours, je monterai au Temple de Yahvé?"

2Mp 20:9

And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the Lord, that the Lord will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?

Dia hoy Isaia: Izao no famantarana ho anao avy amin' i Jehovah hahalalanao fa Jehovah hanao izay zavatra nolazainy: handroso hàdiny folo va ny aloka, sa hiverina hàdiny folo?

Isaïe répondit : "Voici, de la part de Yahvé, le signe qu' il fera ce qu' il a dit : Veux-tu que l' ombre avance de dix degrés, ou qu' elle recule de dix degrés?"

2Mp 20:10

And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees.

Ary Hezekia namaly hoe: Mora foana ny handrosoan' ny aloka hàdiny folo; tsy izany, fa aoka ny aloka hiverina hàdiny folo.

Ka hoy ny navalin' i Ezekiasa: Zavatra kely ny handrosoan' ny aloka ambaratonga folo, fa aoka hihemotra ambaratonga folo izy.

Ezéchias dit : "C' est peu de chose pour l' ombre de gagner dix degrés! Non! Que plutôt l' ombre recule de dix degrés!"

2Mp 20:11

And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the Lord: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.

Ary Isaia mpaminany nitaraina tamin' i Jehovah, ka nampiverina ny aloka hàdiny folo Jehovah, dia ilay nidinany teo amin' ny dialin' i Ahaza.

Tamin' izay nangataka tamin' ny Tompo ny mpaminany ka nahemony ambaratonga folo ny aloka teo amin' ny ambaratongan' i Akaza, dia teo amin' ny ambaratonga efa nidinany.

Le prophète Isaïe invoqua Yahvé et celui-ci fit reculer l' ombre sur les degrés que le soleil avait descendus, les degrés de la chambre haute d' Achaz dix degrés en arrière.

2Mp 20:12

At that time Berodachbaladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present unto Hezekiah: for he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick.

En ce temps-là, Mérodak-Baladan, fils de Baladan, roi de Babylone, envoya des lettres et un présent à Ezéchias, car il avait appris sa maladie et son rétablissement.

2Mp 20:13

And Hezekiah hearkened unto them, and shewed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.

Ezéchias s' en réjouit et montra aux messagers sa chambre du trésor, l' argent, l' or, les aromates, l' huile précieuse, ainsi que son arsenal et tout ce qui se trouvait dans ses magasins. Il n' y eut rien qu' Ezéchias ne leur montrât dans son palais et dans tout son domaine.

2Mp 20:14

Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country, even from Babylon.

Dia nankany amin' i Hezekia mpanjaka Isaia mpaminany ka nanao taminy hoe: Ahoana no nolazain' ireo olona nankaty aminao ireo, ary avy taiza moa izy? Ary hoy Hezekia: Avy tany an-tany lavitra izy, dia avy tany Babylona.

Alors le prophète Isaïe vint chez le roi Ezéchias et lui demanda : "Qu' ont dit ces gens-là et d' où sont-ils venus chez toi?" Ezéchias répondit : "Ils sont venus d' un pays lointain, de Babylone."

2Mp 20:15

And he said, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All the things that are in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them.

Dia hoy izy: Ka inona avy anefa no hitany tato an-tranonao? Ary hoy Hezekia: Izay rehetra ato an-tranoko dia efa hitany avokoa: tsy misy zavatra tsy nasehoko azy ny ato amin' ny firaketako rehetra.

Isaïe reprit : "Qu' ont-ils vu dans ton palais?" Ezéchias répondit : "Ils ont vu tout ce qu' il y a dans mon palais; il n' y a, dans mes magasins, rien que je ne leur aie montré."

2Mp 20:16

And Isaiah said unto Hezekiah, Hear the word of the Lord.

Ary hoy Isaia tamin' i Hezekia: Henoy ary ny tenin' i Jehovah:

Dia hoy Izaia tamin' i Ezekiasa: Henoy ny tenin' ny Tompo:

Alors Isaïe dit à Ezéchias : "Ecoute la parole de Yahvé

2Mp 20:17

Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried into Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the Lord.

Indro, avy ny andro, ka ho entina ho any Babylona izay rehetra ao an-tranonao sy izay rehetra noharin' ny razanao ka voarakitra mandraka androany; eny, tsy hisy sisa hijanona na inona na inona, hoy Jehovah.

Indro, ho avy ny andro hitondran' ny olona ho any Babilona, izay rehetra ao an-tranonao sy izay nangonin' ny razanao hatramin' izao andro izao, tsy hisy hijanona amin' izany, na inona na inona, hoy Iaveh.

Des jours viennent où tout ce qui est dans ton palais, tout ce qu' ont amassé tes pères jusqu'à ce jour, sera emporté à Babylone, rien ne sera laissé, dit Yahvé.

2Mp 20:18

And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.

Ary na dia ny terakao aza dia hisy ho entiny koa; ka ho tandonaka any amin' ny lapan' ny mpanjakan' i Babylona ireo.

Ary ny zanakao izay naloaky ny kibonao izay naterakao, dia hangalany hatao eonoka any an-dapan' ny mpanjakan' i Babilona.

Parmi les fils issus de toi, de ceux que tu as engendrés, on en prendra pour être eunuques dans le palais du roi de Babylone."

2Mp 20:19

Then said Hezekiah unto Isaiah, Good is the word of the Lord which thou hast spoken. And he said, Is it not good, if peace and truth be in my days?

Dia hoy Hezekia tamin' Isaia: Tsara ny tenin' i Jehovah izay nolazainao. Ary hoy koa izy: Eny, tsy izany va, raha misy fiadanana amin' ny androko ka handry fahizay?

Ezéchias dit à Isaïe : "C' est une parole favorable de Yahvé que tu annonces." Il pensait en effet : "Pourquoi pas? S' il y a paix et sûreté pendant ma vie!"

2Mp 20:20

And the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made a pool, and a conduit, and brought water into the city, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

Ary ny tantaran' i Hezekia sisa sy ny heriny rehetra mbamin' ny nanaovany ny kamory sy ny lakan-drano nitarihany rano ho ao an-tanàna, tsy efa voasoratra ao amin' ny bokin' ny tantaran' ny mpanjakan' ny Joda va izany?

Le reste de l' histoire d' Ezéchias, tous ses exploits, et comment il a construit la piscine et le canal pour amener l' eau dans la ville, cela n' est-il pas écrit au livre des Annales des rois de Juda?

2Mp 20:21

And Hezekiah slept with his fathers: and Manasseh his son reigned in his stead.
