Hear ye this word which I take up against you, even a lamentation, O house of Israel.

Écoutez cette parole que je profère contre vous, une lamentation, maison d' Israël :

Amo / Am 5:2

The virgin of Israel is fallen; she shall no more rise: she is forsaken upon her land; there is none to raise her up.

Lavo Isiraely virijina ka tsy hahatsangana intsony; Nazera tamin' ny taniny izy, ka tsy misy mangana azy.

Efa lavo, efa tsy hahatsangana intsony, ilay virjinin' Israely! Mitsingadina amin' ny tany izy, ary tsy hisy hanarina azy.

Elle est tombée, elle ne se relèvera plus, la vierge d' Israël ! Elle est étendue sur son sol, personne pour la relever !

Amo / Am 5:3

For thus saith the Lord GOD; The city that went out by a thousand shall leave an hundred, and that which went forth by an hundred shall leave ten, to the house of Israel.

Fa izao no lazain' i Jehovah Tompo: Izay tanàna namoaka arivo, dia, indreo, zato monja no sisa: ary izay namoaka zato, dia, indreo, folo monja no sisa ho an' ny taranak' Isiraely.

Fa izao no lazain' ny Tompo: Ny tanàna namoaka arivo lahy hiantafika, dia hitana zato lahy; ary izay namoaka zato lahy hiantafika, dia hitana folo lahy ho an' ny taranak' Israely.

Car ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé : la ville qui mettait en campagne mille hommes n' en aura plus que cent, et celle qui en mettait cent n' en aura plus que dix, pour la maison d' Israël. Sans conversion, point de salut.

Amo / Am 5:4

For thus saith the Lord unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:

Fa izao no lazain' i Jehovah amin' ny taranak' Isiraely; Tadiavo Aho, dia ho velona ianareo;

Fa izao no lazain' ny Tompo, amin' ny taranak' Israely: Tadiavo aho, dia velomy hianareo.

Car ainsi parle Yahvé à la maison d' Israël : Cherchez-moi et vous vivrez !

Amo / Am 5:5

But seek not Bethel, nor enter into Gilgal, and pass not to Beersheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nought.

Fa aza mitady an' i Betela, na mankany Gilgala, ary aza mandroso ho any Beri-sheba; Fa ho babo tokoa Gilgala, ary Betela dia ho tonga tsinontsinona.

Aza mitady an' i Betela, aza mankany Galgalà, aza miampita ho any Bersabea! Fa Galgalà, ho lasan-kobabo; ary Betela hanjary tsinontsinona.

Mais ne cherchez pas Béthel, n' allez pas à Gilgal, ne passez pas à Bersabée; car Gilgal ira en déportation et Béthel deviendra néant.

Amo / Am 5:6

Seek the Lord, and ye shall live; lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Bethel.

Mitadiava an' i Jehovah, dia ho velona ianareo; Fandrao hilatsaka toy ny afo mandevona amin' ny taranak' i Josefa Izy, ary Betela tsy hanana izay hahafaty ny afo,

Tadiavo Iaveh, dia velomy hianareo, fandrao milatsaka, toy ny afo, amin' ny taranak' i Josefa izy, ka handevona azy, nefa tsy hanana olona handevona izany, Betela.

Cherchez Yahvé et vous vivrez, de peur qu' il ne fonde comme le feu sur la maison de Joseph, qu' il ne dévore, et personne à Béthel pour éteindre !

Amo / Am 5:7

Ye who turn judgment to wormwood, and leave off righteousness in the earth,

Dia ianareo izay mamadika ny rariny ho zava-mahafaty ary mampiongana ny fahamarinana ho eo amin' ny tany.

Ovany ho abisinta ny hitsiny, ary azerany amin' ny tany ny rariny!

Ils changent le droit en absinthe et jettent à terre la justice.

Amo / Am 5:8

Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name:

C' est lui qui fait les Pléiades et Orion, qui change en matin les ténèbres épaisses et obscurcit le jour comme la nuit; lui qui appelle les eaux de la mer et les répand sur la face de la terre; Yahvé est son nom.

Amo / Am 5:9

That strengtheneth the spoiled against the strong, so that the spoiled shall come against the fortress.

Dia Ilay mampitselatra fandravana hamely ny mahery, ka dia mihatra amin' ny tanàna mimanda ny fandravana.

Ataony mipoaka ny faharavana mamely ny mahery, ary mianjera amin' ny tanana mimanda ny fandravana.

Il déchaîne la dévastation sur celui qui est fort, et la dévastation arrive sur la citadelle.

Amo / Am 5:10

They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly.

Halany eo am-bavahady izay mananatra,11 ary ataony ho fahavetavetana izay miteny ny marina.

Mankahala eo am-bavahady izay mananatra izy ireo; ary tsy tia mainty an' izay miteny amim-pahamarinana.

Ils haïssent quiconque réprimande à la Porte, ils abhorrent celui qui parle avec intégrité.

Amo / Am 5:11

Forasmuch therefore as your treading is upon the poor, and ye take from him burdens of wheat: ye have built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine of them.

Eh bien ! puisque vous piétinez le faible et que vous prélevez sur lui un tribut de froment, ces maisons en pierres de taille que vous avez bâties, vous n' y habiterez pas; ces vignes délicieuses que vous avez plantées, vous n' en boirez pas le vin.

For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: they afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their right.

Car je sais combien nombreux sont vos crimes, énormes vos péchés, oppresseurs du juste, extorqueurs de rançons, vous qui, à la Porte, déboutez les pauvres.

Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it is an evil time.

Koa izay manan-tsaina dia hangina amin' izao andro izao, fa andro mampahory izao.

Koa dia mangina ny olon-kendry amin' izao andro izao, satria andro ratsy izao.

Voilà pourquoi l' homme avisé se tait en ce temps-ci, car c' est un temps de malheur.

Amo / Am 5:14

Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the Lord, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken.

Ny tsara no tadiavo, fa aza ny ratsy, mba ho velona ianareo; Ka dia homba anareo Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny maro, araka izay efa nolazainareo.

Ny tsara no tadiavo, fa aza ny ratsy, mba ho velona hianareo, ka homba anareo Iaveh, Andriamanitry ny tafika, araka ny lazainareo.

Recherchez le bien et non le mal, afin que vous viviez, et qu' ainsi Yahvé, Dieu Sabaot, soit avec vous, comme vous le dites.

Amo / Am 5:15

Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the Lord God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.

Ankahalao ny ratsy, ka tiavo ny tsara, ary aoreno eo am-pitsarana ny rariny; Angamba Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny maro, hamindra fo amin' izay sisa amin' i Josefa.

Ankahalao ny ratsy, fa ny tsara no tiavo, ary ampanjakao eo am-bavahady indray ny rariny; angamba Iaveh Andriamanitry ny tafika, dia hamindra fo amin' izay sisa amin' i Josefa!

Haïssez le mal, aimez le bien, et faites régner le droit à la Porte; peut-être Yahvé, Dieu Sabaot, prendra-t-il en pitié le reste de Joseph ?

Amo / Am 5:16

Therefore the Lord, the God of hosts, the Lord, saith thus; Wailing shall be in all streets; and they shall say in all the highways, Alas! alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skilful of lamentation to wailing.

Koa izao no lazain' i Jehovah Tompo, Andriamanitry ny maro: Eny an-kalalahana rehetra dia hisy fisaonana, ary eny an-dalambe rehetra dia hisy hanao hoe: Indrisy! Indrisy! Ary hiantso ny mpiasa tany hitomany izy, ary izay mahay hira fisaonana dia hantsoiny hanao.

Koa izao no lazain' ny Tompo, ny Andriamanitry ny tafika, ny Tompo: Hisy hidradradradra eny amin' ny kianja rehetra eny: hisy hanao hoe: Indrisy! indrisy! eny an-dalambe rehetra eny; hisy hiantso ny mpiasa hisaona, sy higogogogo, miaraka amin' izay mahay midridridridry.

C' est pourquoi, ainsi parle Yahvé, le Dieu Sabaot, le Seigneur : Sur toutes les places il y aura des lamentations, et dans toutes les rues, on dira " Hélas ! Hélas ! " On convoquera le laboureur au deuil et aux lamentations ceux qui savent gémir;

Amo / Am 5:17

And in all vineyards shall be wailing: for I will pass through thee, saith the Lord.

Ary any amin' ny tanim-boaloboka rehetra dia hisy fisaonana; Fa handeha hamaky eo aminao Aho, hoy Jehovah.

Hitomany ny olona eo amin' ny tanim-boaloboka rehetra: fa handalo eo afovoanao aho, hoy Iaveh.

dans toutes les vignes il y aura des lamentations, car je vais passer au milieu de toi, dit Yahvé.

Amo / Am 5:18

Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light.

Lozan' izay maniry ny andron' i Jehovah! Hataonareo inona moa ny andron' i Jehovah? Dia aizina, fa tsy fahazavana,

Loza ho an' izay maniry ny andron' ny Tompo! Ho inona ho anareo moa, ny andron' ny Tompo? Ho haizina izy, fa tsy fahazavana.

Malheur à ceux qui soupirent après le jour de Yahvé ! Que sera-t-il pour vous, le jour de Yahvé ? Il sera ténèbres, et non lumière.

Amo / Am 5:19

As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.

Tahaka ny olona mandositra ny liona ka sendra ny bera, ary rehefa tafiditra ao an-trano ka mitehin- tanana amin' ny rindrina, dia kekerin' ny menarana.

Toy ny olona mandositra ny liona, nefa tonga mitsena azy kosa ny orsa; miditra ao an-tranony izy, mitehin-tànana amin' ny rindrina dia kakerin' ny menarana!...

Tel l' homme qui fuit devant un lion et tombe sur un ours ! Il entre à la maison, appuie sa main au mur, et un serpent le mord !

Amo / Am 5:20

Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

Moa tsy aizina va ny andron' i Jehovah, fa tsy fahazavana? Tsy aizim-pito tsy misy mangirana akory va izany?

Moa tsy aizina va ny andron' ny Tompo fa tsy fahazavana, haizina tsy misy mangirana?

N' est-il pas ténèbres, le jour de Yahvé, et non lumière ? Il est obscur et sans clarté !

Amo / Am 5:21

I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.

Halako, eny, laviko ny andro firavoravoanareo, ary tsy ho hanitra ankasitrahana amiko ny fivorianareo masina.

Halako sy tsy ahoako akory izay fetinareo, tsy hankamamiko akory ny fiangonanareo.

Je hais, je méprise vos fêtes et je ne puis sentir vos réunions solennelles.

Amo / Am 5:22

Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.

Na dia ateranareo fanatitra dorana sy fanatitra hohanina aza Aho, dia tsy sitrako izany; Ny zanak' omby mifahy aterinareo ho fanati-pihavanana dia tsy hojereko akory.

Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.

Atsaharo ny finaonaonan' ny hiranareo, fa maharenina Ahy; Fa tsy hihaino ny fanenon' ny lokanganareo Aho.

Halaviro ahy ny finaonaonan' ny hiranareo; aoka tsy ho reko akory izay feon-dokanganareo!

Écarte de moi le bruit de tes cantiques, que je n' entende pas la musique de tes harpes !

Amo / Am 5:24

But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.

Ary aoka ny fitsarana hanalonalona toy ny rano, ary ny fahamarinana toy ny renirano tsy mety ritra.

Fa aoka hisononoka hoatra ny rano kosa ny fitsarana; ary toy ny ranondriaka tsy mety ritra ny fahamarinana!

Mais que le droit coule comme de l' eau, et la justice, comme un torrent qui ne tarit pas.

Amo / Am 5:25

Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel?

Moa efa nanatitra fanatitra hohanina sy fanatitra alatsa-drà ho Ahy tany an-efitra efa-polo taona va ianareo, ry taranak' i Isiraely?

Moa nanatitra sorona amam-panatitra ho ahy va hianareo, ry taranak' Israely, nandritra ny efapolo taona tany an' efitra?

Des sacrifices et des oblations, m' en avez-vous présentés au désert, pendant quarante ans, maison d' Israël ?

But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.

Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith the Lord, whose name is The God of hosts.

Ka dia ho entiko ho babo any ankoatr' i Damaskosy ianareo, hoy Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny maro no anarany.
