Chapitres:

If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.

Raha misy fifanjihiran' olona, ka efa niseho teo anatrehan' ny mpitsara izy ireo, ary efa notsaraina, ka ny marina nafahana, ary ny meloka nohelohina,

Lorsque des hommes auront une contestation, ils iront en justice pour qu' on prononce entre eux : on donnera raison à qui a raison et tort à qui a tort.

Deo / Dt 25:2

And it shall be, if the wicked man be worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and to be beaten before his face, according to his fault, by a certain number.

Si celui qui a tort mérite des coups, le juge le fera étendre à terre en sa présence, et frapper d' un nombre de coups proportionnel à ses torts.

Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed: lest, if he should exceed, and beat him above these with many stripes, then thy brother should seem vile unto thee.

Hatramin' ny efa-polo no kapoka azo hatao aminy, fa tsy hatao mihoatra; fandrao raha mihoatra noho izany, dia ho toy ny tsinontsinona eo imasonao ny rahalahinao.

Tsy atao mihoatra ny efapolo anefa ny isan' ny kapoka hasainy hamelezana azy, fa raha tohizana hatao betsaka mihoatra noho izany ny kapoka hamelezana azy, sao dia ho toy ny tsinontsinona eo imasonao ny rahalahinao.

Il pourra lui infliger quarante coups, mais pas davantage, de peur qu' en frappant davantage la meurtrissure ne soit grave et que ton frère ne soit avili à tes yeux.

Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the corn.

If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her husband' s brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of an husband' s brother unto her.

Raha misy mpirahalahy miara-monina, ary maty momba ny anankiray, dia aoka tsy hanambady vahiny any ivelany ny vadin' ny maty; fa ny rahalahin' ny vadiny ihany no aoka hanambady azy ka hitondra loloha azy.

Raha misy mpirahalahy miara-monina, maty momba ny iray aminy, dia aoka ny vadin' ny maty tsy hanambady vahiny any ivelany fa ny rahalahin' ny vadiny ihany no aoka handeha hanatona azy hanambady azy, sy hitondra loloha azy.

Si des frères demeurent ensemble et que l' un d' eux vienne à mourir sans enfant, la femme du défunt ne se mariera pas au-dehors avec un homme d' une famille étrangère. Son " lévir " viendra à elle, il exercera son lévirat en la prenant pour épouse

Deo / Dt 25:6

And it shall be, that the firstborn which she beareth shall succeed in the name of his brother which is dead, that his name be not put out of Israel.

Ary ny lahimatoa izay haterany dia hitondra ny anaran' ilay rahalahy izay efa maty, mba tsy ho faty maso eo amin' ny Isiraely izy.

Ary ny voalohan-janany lahy haterany no handova ilay rahalahy maty sy haka ny anarany, mba tsy ho faty eo amin' Israely izany anarana izany.

et le premier-né qu' elle enfantera relèvera le nom de son frère défunt ; ainsi son nom ne sera pas effacé d' Israël.

Deo / Dt 25:7

And if the man like not to take his brother' s wife, then let his brother' s wife go up to the gate unto the elders, and say, My husband' s brother refuseth to raise up unto his brother a name in Israel, he will not perform the duty of my husband' s brother.

Ary raha tsy sitra-dralehilahy ny hitondra loloha ny vadin-drahalahiny, dia aoka hankeo amin' ny vavahady ho eo amin' ny loholona ravehivavy ka hanao hoe: Ny rahalahin' ny vadiko tsy mety mamelo-maso ny rahalahiny, fa tsy mety mitondra loloha ahy.

Raha tsy tian-dralehilahy ny hitondra loloha ny vadin-drahalahiny, dia aoka hanatona ny loholona eo ambavahady ravehivavy, ka hanao hoe: Tsy mety mamelo-maso ny rahalahiny eo imason' Israely ny rahalahin' ny vadiko, fa tsy mety manambady sy mitondra loloha ahy izy.

Mais si cet homme refuse de prendre celle dont il doit être lévir, elle ira trouver les anciens à la porte et dira : " Je n' ai pas de lévir qui veuille relever le nom de son frère en Israël, il ne consent pas à exercer en ma faveur son lévirat. "

Then the elders of his city shall call him, and speak unto him: and if he stand to it, and say, I like not to take her;

Dia hantsoin' ny loholona amin' ny tanàna ralehilahy ka hadininy; ary raha mikiry izy ka manao hoe: Tsy sitrako ny hanambady azy,

Dia hampiantso an-dralehilahy sy hiteny aminy ny loholon' ny tanàna, ka raha mikiry izy, manao hoe: Tsy te-hanambady azy aho,

Les anciens de sa cité convoqueront cet homme et lui parleront. Ayant comparu, il dira : " Je refuse de la prendre. "

Then shall his brother' s wife come unto him in the presence of the elders, and loose his shoe from off his foot, and spit in his face, and shall answer and say, So shall it be done unto that man that will not build up his brother' s house.

dia hanatona azy eo anatrehan' ny loholona ny vadin-drahalahiny ka hanala ny kapa amin' ny tongo-dralehilahy, dia handrora amin' ny tavany ka hiteny hoe: Toy izany no hatao amin' izay olona tsy mety mamelo-maso ny rahalahiny.

dia hanatona azy eo anatrehan' ny loholona ravehivavy, sy hanala ny kapa amin' ny tongony ary handrora amin' ny tavany sady hanao hoe: Toy izao no hatao amin' ny lehilahy tsy mety mamelo-maso ny rahalahiny.

Celle à qui il doit le lévirat s' approchera de lui en présence des anciens, lui ôtera sa sandale du pied, lui crachera au visage et prononcera ces paroles : " Ainsi fait-on à l' homme qui ne relève pas la maison de son frère ",

Deo / Dt 25:10

And his name shall be called in Israel, The house of him that hath his shoe loosed.

Ary ny anaran-dralehilahy dia hatao eo amin' ny Isiraely hoe: Fianakavian' ilay nalan-kapa.

Ary ny fianakaviany dia hantsoina eo imason' Israely hoe: fianakavian' ilay afa-kapa.

et sa maison sera ainsi appelée en Israël : " Maison du déchaussé. "

When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near for to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the secrets:

Lorsque des hommes se battent ensemble, un homme et son frère, si la femme de l' un d' eux s' approche et, pour dégager son mari des coups de l' autre, avance la main et saisit celui-ci par les parties honteuses,

Then thou shalt cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity her.

dia hotapahinao ny tànany; tsy hiantra azy ny masonao.

dia tapaho ny tànany, aza miantra maso azy akory.

tu lui couperas la main sans un regard de pitié.

Deo / Dt 25:13

Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a great and a small.

Aoka tsy hisy vato mahery sy reraka ao an-kitaponao.

Aza asiana vato roa, mahery sy osa, ao an-kitaponao.

Tu n' auras pas dans ton sac poids et poids, l' un lourd et l' autre léger.

Thou shalt not have in thine house divers measures, a great and a small.

Tu auras un poids intact et exact, et tu auras une mesure entière et exacte, afin d' avoir longue vie sur la terre que Yahvé ton Dieu te donne.

Deo / Dt 25:16

For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto the Lord thy God.

Fa fahavetavetana eo imason' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao izay rehetra manao izany zavatra izany, dia izay rehetra manao ny tsy marina.

Fa fahavetavetana eo imason' ny Tompo Andriamanitrao izay manao izany zavatra izany, dia izay manao ny zavatra tsy marina.

Car Yahvé ton Dieu a en abomination quiconque pratique ces choses, quiconque exerce la fraude.

Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth out of Egypt;

Tsarovy izay nataon' ny Amalekita taminao teny an-dalana tamin' ny nandehananareo avy tany Egypta,

Tsarovy ny nafitsok' i Amaleka anao teny an-dàlana, tamin' ny nivoahanao avy tany Ejipta,

Rappelle-toi ce que t' a fait Amaleq quand vous étiez en chemin à votre sortie d'Égypte.

Deo / Dt 25:18

How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God.

dia ny nitsenany anao teny an-dalana sy ny namelezany ny vodi-lalanao, dia izay rehetra tsy afaka teo aorianao, raha reraka sy sasatra ianao; fa tsy natahotra an' Andriamanitra izy.

dia ny nifanenany taminao teny an-dàlana sy namelezany anao avy ao aoriana, dia izay rehetra efa trotraka nanaraka eo aorianao, fa hianao efa reraka sy valaka; tsy nanana tahotra an' Andriamanitra kely akory izy.

Il vint à ta rencontre sur le chemin et, par derrière, après ton passage, il attaqua les éclopés ; quand tu étais las et exténué, il n' eut pas crainte de Dieu.

Deo / Dt 25:19

Therefore it shall be, when the Lord thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it.

Ary rehefa omen' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao fitsaharana amin' ny fahavalonao rehetra manodidina ianao any amin' ny tany izay omen' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao anao ho lovanao, dia hovonoinao ny fahatsiarovana ny Amalekita tsy ho eo ambanin' ny lanitra intsony: aza hadinoinao izany.

Ka raha avy izay hanomezan' ny Tompo Andriamanitrao fitsaharana anao, tsy hohelingelenin' ny fahavalonareo rehetra manodidina anao, any amin' ny tany omen' ny Tompo Andriamanitrao anao ho lovanao mba hanananao azy, dia vonoy tsy ho ety ambanin' ny lanitra intsony ny fahatsiarovana an' i Amaleka, aza manadino izany.

Lorsque Yahvé ton Dieu t' aura établi à l' abri de tous tes ennemis alentour, au pays que Yahvé ton Dieu te donne en héritage pour le posséder, tu effaceras le souvenir d' Amaleq de dessous les cieux. N' oublie pas !
