And there was found at Achmetha, in the palace that is in the province of the Medes, a roll, and therein was a record thus written:

In the first year of Cyrus the king the same Cyrus the king made a decree concerning the house of God at Jerusalem, Let the house be builded, the place where they offered sacrifices, and let the foundations thereof be strongly laid; the height thereof threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof threescore cubits;

La première année du roi Cyrus, le roi Cyrus a ordonné Temple de Dieu à Jérusalem. Le Temple sera rebâti comme lieu où l' on offre des sacrifices et ses fondations seront préservées. Sa hauteur sera de 60 coudées, sa largeur de 60

With three rows of great stones, and a row of new timber: and let the expenses be given out of the king' s house:

And also let the golden and silver vessels of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took forth out of the temple which is at Jerusalem, and brought unto Babylon, be restored, and brought again unto the temple which is at Jerusalem, every one to his place, and place them in the house of God.

En sus, les ustensiles d' or et d' argent du Temple de Dieu que Nabuchodonosor enleva au sanctuaire de Jérusalem et emporta à Babylone, on les restituera, pour que tout reprenne sa place au sanctuaire de Jérusalem et soit déposé dans le Temple de Dieu."

Now therefore, Tatnai, governor beyond the river, Shetharboznai, and your companions the Apharsachites, which are beyond the river, be ye far from thence:

Ezr / Esd 6:7

Let the work of this house of God alone; let the governor of the Jews and the elders of the Jews build this house of God in his place.

Ezr / Esd 6:8

Moreover I make a decree what ye shall do to the elders of these Jews for the building of this house of God: that of the king' s goods, even of the tribute beyond the river, forthwith expenses be given unto these men, that they be not hindered.

Voici mes ordres concernant votre ligne de conduite vis-à-vis de ces anciens des Juifs pour la reconstruction de ce Temple de Dieu : c' est sur les fonds royaux c' est-à-dire sur l' impôt de Transeuphratène que les dépenses de ces gens leur seront exactement, et sans interruption, remboursées.

And that which they have need of, both young bullocks, and rams, and lambs, for the burnt offerings of the God of heaven, wheat, salt, wine, and oil, according to the appointment of the priests which are at Jerusalem, let it be given them day by day without fail:

Ezr / Esd 6:10

That they may offer sacrifices of sweet savours unto the God of heaven, and pray for the life of the king, and of his sons.

pour qu' on offre au Dieu du ciel des sacrifices d' agréable odeur et qu' on prie pour la vie du roi et de ses fils.

Ezr / Esd 6:11

Also I have made a decree, that whosoever shall alter this word, let timber be pulled down from his house, and being set up, let him be hanged thereon; and let his house be made a dunghill for this.

Ezr / Esd 6:12

And the God that hath caused his name to dwell there destroy all kings and people, that shall put to their hand to alter and to destroy this house of God which is at Jerusalem. I Darius have made a decree; let it be done with speed.

Que le Dieu qui fait résider là son Nom renverse tout roi ou peuple qui entreprendraient de passer outre en détruisant ce Temple de Dieu à Jérusalem! Moi Darius, j' ai donné cet ordre. Qu' il soit ponctuellement exécuté!"

Ezr / Esd 6:13

Then Tatnai, governor on this side the river, Shetharboznai, and their companions, according to that which Darius the king had sent, so they did speedily.

Ary tamin' izany Tatenay, governora amin' ny etý an-dafin' ny ony etý, sy Setarabozenay mbamin' ny namany dia nankato marina izany teny efa nampitondrain' i Dariosy ho any aminy izany.

Alors Tattenaï, gouverneur de Transeuphratène, Shetar-Boznaï et leurs collègues exécutèrent ponctuellement les instructions envoyées par le roi Darius.

Ezr / Esd 6:14

And the elders of the Jews builded, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they builded, and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the commandment of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.

Quant aux anciens des Juifs, ils continuèrent à bâtir, avec succès, sous l' inspiration d' Aggée le prophète et de Zacharie, fils d' Iddo. Ils achevèrent la construction conformément à l' ordre du Dieu d' Israël et à l' ordre de Cyrus et de Darius.

Ezr / Esd 6:15

And this house was finished on the third day of the month Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king.

Ce Temple fut terminé le vingt-troisième jour du mois d' Adar c'était la sixième année du règne du roi Darius.

Ezr / Esd 6:16

And the children of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the rest of the children of the captivity, kept the dedication of this house of God with joy.

Ary ny Zanak' Isiraely, na ny mpisorona, na ny Levita, na ny olona sisa izay nody avy tamin' ny fahababoana, dia nitokana io tranon' Andriamanitra io tamin' ny fifaliana;

Les Israélites les prêtres, les lévites et le reste des exilés firent avec joie la dédicace de ce Temple de Dieu;

Ezr / Esd 6:17

And offered at the dedication of this house of God an hundred bullocks, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs; and for a sin offering for all Israel, twelve he goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.

ils offrirent, pour la dédicace de ce Temple de Dieu, cent taureaux, 200 béliers, 400 agneaux et, en sacrifice pour le péché de tout Israël, douze boucs suivant le nombre des tribus d' Israël.

Ezr / Esd 6:18

And they set the priests in their divisions, and the Levites in their courses, for the service of God, which is at Jerusalem; as it is written in the book of Moses.

Puis ils installèrent les prêtres selon leurs catégories et les lévites selon leurs classes au service du Temple de Dieu, à Jérusalem, comme il est écrit dans le livre de Moïse.

Ezr / Esd 6:19

And the children of the captivity kept the passover upon the fourteenth day of the first month.

Ezr / Esd 6:20

For the priests and the Levites were purified together, all of them were pure, and killed the passover for all the children of the captivity, and for their brethren the priests, and for themselves.

Les lévites, comme un seul homme, s'étaient purifiés : tous étaient purs; ils immolèrent donc la pâque; pour tous les exilés, pour leurs frères les prêtres et pour eux-mêmes.

Ezr / Esd 6:21

And the children of Israel, which were come again out of captivity, and all such as had separated themselves unto them from the filthiness of the heathen of the land, to seek the Lord God of Israel, did eat,

Mangèrent la pâque : les Israélites qui étaient revenus d' exil et tous ceux qui, ayant rompu avec l' impureté des nations du pays, s'étaient joints à eux pour chercher Yahvé, le Dieu d' Israël.

Ezr / Esd 6:22

And kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy: for the Lord had made them joyful, and turned the heart of the king of Assyria unto them, to strengthen their hands in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel.

ka dia nitandrina ny andro firavoravoana fihinanana ny mofo tsy misy masirasira hafitoana tamin' ny fifaliana izy; fa Jehovah efa nampifaly azy ary efa nampiova ny fon' ny mpanjakan' i Asyria hamindra fo aminy ka hampahery ny tànany tamin' ny nanaovany ny tranon' Andriamanitra, dia Andriamanitry ny Isiraely.

Tamin-kafaliana no nanaovan' izy ireo ny fetin' ny Azima mandritra ny hafitoana; fa nampifalian' ny Tompo izy, tamin' ny nitarihany ny fon' ny mpanjakan' i Asiria hanampy azy ireo sy hanohana ny tànany amin' ny asa momba ny tranon' Andriamanitra, dia ny Andriamanitr' Israely.

Ils célébrèrent avec joie pendant sept jours la fête des Azymes, car Yahvé les avait remplis de joie, ayant incliné vers eux le coeur du roi d' Assur, pour qu' il fortifiât leurs mains dans les travaux du Temple de Dieu, le Dieu d' Israël.
